Hi, I thought Sotha Sil, much like Almalexia and Vivec, unsurprising?y, was supposed to be Chimer? Being the new gods rebelling against the old Daedric gods that cursed them with the dark skin (azura)? I don't think it makes him a N'wah or makes it wrong/weird. Unless I'm missing something.
It's more about how his face texture was half-assed and he looks like a corprus human than an elf, I can see your point with him having Chimer skin but I guess I had ESO's Sotha Sil in mind when I made this.
Sotha Sil was Dunmer though, Almalexia was the only one to stay Chimer. Vivic was half. They did this on purpose for their Tribunal religion. So they let Sotha Sil be the full Dunmer of the three.
It's an oversight on Bethesda's part. It displays the different ideologies of the Tribunal... Vivec represents duality and binary indecision and the modern age, Almalexia represents Old Resdayn and clinging to the past glory of the Chimer and Sotha Sil represents the future and chose not to fight Azura's curse
Thanks for this, especially in light of ESO having him clearly look like a Dunmer with the same mask. Unless the Sotha Sil we find in Morrowind is a decoy! He lives!
And then years later, even though we have mods that make Vivec and Almalexia look like Kim Kardashian and the like, no one still bother to give poor old Sotha some love.
Saint_Jiub's Clockwork City Reborn includes a pretty nice HD retexture of Sotha Sil. The only downside is that he doesn't really look necrotic at all, but I can forgive that since it's a semi-divine corpse and he's only been dead for a matter of days.
Wow, I didn't know that mod also has a texture for him, that retexture looks pretty sexy too! I don't like how the armor looks though, however I think the author did an almost excellent job for his face.

I'll add this mod to the list, as I'm still experiencing Vanilla Morrowind for the first time.
