    Hi, abot,
I just noticed that with the OAAB mesh "water_circle512.nif" your water sound is not playing.
Do you perhaps have any idea why?

As far as I can understand those meshes are using new NiCollisionSwitch trickery to disable raycasting collision, which is the one way the mod can work, so IMO broken meshes unless you want to disable any mod ability to detect them
here is an example of fixed mesh, replace it and see what happens

Hi, thanks for your quick reply, great! Your modified mesh works like a charm.
Also thanks for making this a bug report for OAAB Data. Perfect.

They are not interested in supporting MWSE-Lua ray testing against being able to activate things under fake water. I have uploaded a quick mesh replacer, give it a try.

Yes, I just read your discussion with them on their bug report page. :-/
I downloaded your mesh replacer and this works just fine. I completely agree with you, as for me it's also more important to have the immersion of your water sounds than being able to reach things beneath the water surface (at least I never had a situation where I needed to do this).

Thank you for your quick replies and your fix. I greatly appreciate it.
      Best wishes!

Sorry my quick fix did not fix every one of them it seems. I have updated the fix/replaced the fixed meshes with the ones from TR_Data which are more faithful to the original meshes by Dongle and should all work properly with MWSE-Lua raycasting (note: it needs TR_Data.bsa (or the equivalent tamriel data unpacked textures) installed too as the textures are the same but with different path)

    I wanna test this mod.
Where can I find these meshes ingame location? (Vanilla - Tribunal + Bloodmoon)

you probably need to install Tamriel Rebuilt, look for the lake waterfalls area south of Hla Bulor village or the Akamora area

    Thanks for this mod.
Hoever: Does this work only with MAO?
I am jumping into the "Brevur of Balmora" statue water pool (the NIF file is named stBrevur_water.NIF), but there is no splash sound whatsoever.

      > Does this work only with MAO
No, it should work with vanilla Morrowind too
      > I am jumping into the "Brevur of Balmora" statue water pool (the NIF file is named stBrevur_water.NIF), but there is no splash sound whatsoever
probably the mesh is set as activator, usually the reason to set a mesh as activator is to make its name visible and/or to attach a script to it so it can e.g. interact with player (e.g NOM water sources). My program only check for water meshes set as static
[EDIT] I could easily include activator too, maybe I will add a flag so you can enable/disable activators from detection changing 1 line
[EDIT2] if would be better to check if the activator is already scripted to play sounds though, I will see if I am able to do it in future versions

Thanks for you reply. And these are really good tips, too. I will check this as soon as possible.

Ok, latest version should check also activators, you can easily disable them changing one line in the tweakable section on top of main.lua script

Thanks for the update. However, the water surface in the "Brevur of Balmora" mod is not an activator, and it still does not work.
My player character is standing more than ankle-deep in the water but still no splash sound when I am jumping up and down or walking inside the pool…

Uhm, dunno, I checked the Brevur of Balmora mod and the mesh is set as activator, and the splash sounds play for me. Maybe try some other water meshes added from some other mod, e.g. if not even TR water meshes around Akamora work then definitely there is something not working as expected, take a look at the Morrowind\MWSE.log file and see if there are error messages

      Thank you for your advice.
You are perfectly right, of course it is set as activator. Completely my fault here. (I really don't know what I was thinking and how I could miss this!)
And -- I don't know what on earth I did wrong – it is working now. :-) I must have made some kind of stupid mistake which I can't recall now.
Thank you so much again for this little jewel of a mod and for including activators.

Hi abot. Thanks for the Water Sounds. It's great that you work with LUA. Any plans to remake your birds for these scripts?

Excellent. The hollow water in TR mountainous areas needed this fix.
