Hi there and good job! The difference between this and non-normal map textures is astonishing. I have a problem, though; the cuirass does not seem to change (it's showing up the textures from Intelligent Textures, loaded before) . I'm using OpenMW nightly and made sure to load your mod last in my openmw.cfg. Also using Linux, so I checked if the filenames are correct (Windows is not case sensitive AFAIK, after all), but everything seems in order. What did I do wrong? :D

could you take a before&after screenshot for me? you can continue using intelligent textures while you do, i just need to see with the normalmaps rendered. try to take a picture where the lightsource is to the side of the subject for the best troubleshooting. you can post the pictures on the modpage or you can DM them to me. i will reexamine everything on my end to ensure the compression, channels, and naming are correct.

i've gone back and recompiled the texture from the source. compression seems to be correct, color channels are correct, naming is correct. at this point i am reliant on screenshots to troubleshoot, because there are multiple textures applied to the glass armor cuirass model.

the glass inlays of the texture were handpainted specifically to appear smooth, whereas the moonstone and metal portions of the texture received only minor correction and are bumpy as one would expect. that part should be rather reactive to lightsources. see my glass tower shield image for visual comparison between the two regions.

the only other problem i can think of is that at night the ambient lighting will sometimes cause normalmaps to be lit inverted.

Sorry for the late reply! I must have messed up something during/before install - I downloaded and reinstalled your mod and now it's working : P Thanks for everything!
