They both use the same event canceling it so yes they are going to conflict. I think take notes already includes the auto pickup part for not scripted paper, I think the one thing this mod does that take notes does not is trying to make it work also with scripted paper. So probably you want to use take notes only, there are not many scripted pieces of paper around.
