Good idea, but extremely stupid implementation.
Why can't I use an existing armorer skill? Why do we need new, stupid and useless skills? Why hide the smelter in the ass of the world?
No manual, just 2 pictures and a useless video.

    Sorry but...
This is just WAY to convoluted. No explanation on how anything works, even the guides you can download only help a little.
searcher for hours to find a f**ing smelter, just to find out only 2 exist in the game, from npcs. One of whom didn't give me the option to ask for it or buy it ,even though the guide said he should.
The need to do other crafts, like flething just so you can get the materials to do smithing seems laborious and needless. It take hours of searching and still you get nowhere, it should be this hard to do simple crafting in a game, it's harder than dark souls ffs. To bad, huge potential, obviously a lot of work, but SO inexcusable do needlessly complicated and little to no explanation on how to do anything. I wish someone could just make a crafting mod that was relatively simple and worked, 100's of mod for morrowind and no one has/can do it. tobad.

I have to agree. By the time you manage to get able to actually craft stuff it useless as it is the end game already.

To really enjoy the MC mod, you best start a new game and start crafting at the bottom. Figure out what you need to build a cooking fire. Learn which plants to process in the fire to get some raw fiber. Learn to make empty spools from scrapwood, locate a spinning wheel and make spools of thread. Find a loom and make some bolts of cloth. Buy or steal a pair of shears, and cut the bolt into pieces of cloth... The main point is: START SMALL! Don't expect to craft an Ebony Armor right away, because that's not going to happen. Because like all the skills in vanilla Morrowind, also the crafting skills take time to learn.

?Buy or steal a pair of shears, and cut the bolt into pieces of cloth

It sounds dumb but... how to use shears? I can't equip it. I'm stuck at making cloth...

EDIT: [Solved] It's my other weightness mod. After I put the load order of MC after the weightness mod, it works now.

Here's something that burns my hairy derriere: I cannot find a list anywhere that tells me exactly which ingredients are added to the game by this mod. If anyone here knows where I can find that list, would you please let me know? I'd be ever so grateful.

open the construction set & set this as the active mod, then just click the option at the bottom of that new window 'only see the changed stuff' and the vanilla game will disappear only leaving edited content.

I can't find any mining picks, and I've looked everywhere. Where can I find one?

Is this compatible with OpenMW and can you install on an existing game?

Quick question, how exactly do I see the levels of the crafting skills? Since they don't show up in the Misc Skills.

I have errors when mining rocks when I don't get a message with bugs and the game is crafted, the message says you were unable mining, I don't know if I should install something or not, but I remove the conflicting mods that already had nothing installed the same

    Hello,
I just fixed the mod for compatibility with tes3mp, adding a server side script was necessary. This is a annoying detail and may be unnecessary for its proper functioning.
Indeed removing disable under "if ( DoOnce == 0 )" from the script "mc_cooking_startup" fixed the problem. can you remove it from the esp file to make it compatible without adding additional script by the server? Thank you

If anyone can help me out, I would really appreciate it. I'm loving this mod, and it works really well. Sure, there are a few changes I'd make, but nothing that actually detracts from the mod itself. What's really stumping me is where to find horker blubber/how to make horker tallow. I've rained mass murder upon the horkers of Solstheim several times, and I get a pile of tusks for it. Tusks, apparently, do not make tallow. The readme and posts about 3.0 being underway indicate that it comes from the blubber, which I can't find. I'm running 2.1.2, please help.

Horkers are a type of monster to be found in one of the official expansions. So go to the places associated with those expasions, and start killing some horkers. That should yield you the blubber you desire.

(Edit: I realise now, that I must have been sleeping while I wrote that nonsense! Not at all helpful. I'm incredibly sorry...)

Check the list of woodcutter NPCs in 'MC Helpfile - Notes.rtf' .
Several of them sell some horker tallow and there's one on solstheim that has it as a restocking item.

I might mention that, for those that use Tamriel Rebuilt, Morrowind Crafting 3.0 beta 1 is out, and makes it *much simpler*. Use a toolkit (say, woodworking tookit), and a menu pops up, with a scrollable list of possible items. Point to an item and it will tell you what is needed, what skill-difficulty you have, and what chance you have to complete it, assuming that you have the necessary materials.

Do note that horker blubber being made into tallow only exists within MC 3.0. In 2.1, there are many differences. 3.0 expands the range of processes quite a lot.
