If you are using MCP 2.5, make sure to uncheck "Equip script fix" in "Beta" category as it prevents Bound Arrow from being automatically equipped

Nice one. Never used that specific thing. Good to know.

    Good day, all.
@AngryKarakuri: thank you very much for the mod. It does fix a very inconvenient flaw.
It's not working for me, though.
I've activated the ESP, and at the end of the list.
I've unchecked as recommended on MCP 2.5.
I cast the spell - successfully, save, load... and don't find the bound arrow in my Inventory.
BTW, would you consider re-making the mod into an MWSE plug-in?
    @MW Community:
Would an experienced user have figured out what this can conflict with?

I know how late I am to reply to this but I've been having the same problem in OpenMW 0.48.0 and seem to have stumbled on the solution, so in case someone in the future may benefit I'm sharing my findings here. All I did was I open the ESP in notepad and copied the line "StartScript, alexm_ScriptBoundLongbow" and entered it into the console in-game. It's been working ever since, with no need to repeat the process upon rebooting or reloading the game.

Thanks for the fix, Mlow. I have never used OpenMW, so I wouldn't have known.

AngryKarakuri  Great mod.  I was running around Red Mountain after the gates came down shooting anything that moved, and it was wonderful.  I didn't have to worry about running out of arrows and went crazy.  There is a method to make a bound weapon permanent and the arrows still keep coming.  I love a mod that gets thrown in the data, doesn't need a bunch more mods to make it work and does what it says on the box.  GREAT JOB

Hey! The mod is working as intended, it's a must on all my morrowind playthroughs, but I'd like to ask you something: can this be applied to Auriel's Bow to make it be like its Skyrim counterpart? I have no scripting experience so I'm asking if its even possible, it would be cool to even make the infinite arrows deal fire damage and maybe cast light on the target *shrug*. Anyways this was just an idea, this is a really good mod, thank you for sharing it with us!

Hello, I must say that I don't even remember at all what I wrote in this. Neither do I want to know, or I'll be having nightmares.
But technically it should work, probably. But I feel like there was something about it being specific to bound weapons.
I think if you just copy paste my script into the weapon you're wanting to change that it should already work. lol

You were right, it works only on bound bow i think. Welp, it was worth a try, thanks for the tip on how to do it :)

I'm very new to using game mods so it took me a minute to get it working but I did

    • download file
    • copy the .ESP to Morrowind Data Files
    • *IMPORTANT IF YOU'RE DUMB LIKE ME* remember to ACTIVATE THE MOD, when launching the game, click Data Files from the launcher, make sure the mod is checked
    • follow the instructions given by the author
thanks so much for writing this, keeping arrows on my character has been a bit of a hassle

    Hi,

Thank you so much for creating this mod! I came to Morrowind from Skyrim and so was unpleasantly surprised to find Bound Bows didn't automatically come equipped with Bound Arrows. Your mod is a life- and time-saver, but I was having a little trouble getting it to work, maybe because I'm running MCP 2.4 and some weather mods?

Here are the steps I followed partially based on the instructions and partially based on assumption:

    1) I downloaded the file, extracted it and put it in my Data Files folder. (The instructions don't say where to put the extracted file, so I assumed, based on the extracted folder being labeled as "Data Files.")

    2) I opened the game, loaded a save and summoned a Bound Longbow successfully.

    3) I saved the game with the Bound Longbow still equipped and active, then loaded that same save just like in the instructions video.

    4) I've got the Longbow, but still no arrows equipped.

I've also got MCP 2.4 installed and running in case this matters (one of the users of this mod had recommended something to uncheck in MCP 2.5 so I'm wondering if there's something to uncheck in 2.4, too? If so, does anyone know what I should turn on or off...?

Thanks everyone for listening to my issue and thanks again to the mod creator for creating this!

      Did you enable the plugin?
Dumb question, I know. But sometimes I forgot to do that myself.

A very talented execution of an idea. I appreciate that it does not need an script extenders etc. and is therefore vanilla friendly.

I don't use it, so I wanted it to work without it. It gets the job done. Just sucks that you need to save and reload for it to apply. Check the description if you haven't already.
I've got no idea why this happens. Maybe someone eventually can tell me. This version of Papyrus is very different from the current one. lol

It's a normal plugin with a script. If those things work in OpenMW, then yes. I've got no idea since I don't use OpenMW.
