Changes in the latest update: Soul gems and empty scrolls are now re-stocking so you don't have to abandon Galbedir when her stock ran out (since it won't).
I've decided to only update the MCP compatible versions. The other versions are still available in the "Old Files" section if you wish to download them.
So what the heck do you actually do? The original Enchanting Enchanting (what an annoying name) has the scroll icons missing but this one works in that respect? But it doesn't retain the proper enchanting rate, like Asherdoom's comment says? Why? What happened? I don't know how you can mess up this monumentally. Jesus Christ.
The original EE never made changes to the enchanting formula to begin with, and neither does EE2. EE2 is simply a more polished version of the original. There's nothing "monumentally" wrong with the mod, it works exactly as described. I've used this quite extensively and have ran into zero issues. If it is breaking your game in some way (and you're 100% certain this mod is causing it), it's more likely to be a mod conflict or load order issue. And if you have no idea how to fix those issues, the Morrowind Modding Discord is a good place to go for help.
If your intention is to make the actual enchanting process easier, you'll need a mod specifically designed to do that, such as "Enchanting Made Possible." Heck, you could probably make one yourself since its just a simple value change.
to me is not working: Seems enchanting rate is worse than vanilla i am breton with 60 int and 50 enchant and always fail even making the most stupid basic enchant (For example i tested enchant a shirt restore 1 health 1 secnd on cast) And NEVER succed and NEVER get skill points either for testing the enchant. skill is frozen at 50
This mod does not alter the enchanting success formula, as far as I'm aware. You'll need a seperate mod that specifically targets the enchanting success rate. In the vanilla game, enchanting items yourself is very hard to do without using stat exploits, but you should still gain exp from simply using enchanted items. If you aren't, it might be a mod conflict or some other issue, but it seems unlikely that this mod is the culprit.
This is an interesting mod. However, I'm using it in tes3mp and seems like Soul Trapping is broken. I can cast Soul Trap on creatures but they won't fill any soul gem when killed. I have yet to test it in regular openmw and the original Morrowind so I don't know if this problem is only on yes3mp or not. What should I do about this?
It's because of the lowering of the gem price/value : the level of the souls you can catch seems to depend on the value of the gem. Use the ESPs that do not change the value of the gems.
