I love this mod, but having an issue with MCM settings not saving. I downloaded the most recent version and am still having this issue. The only info about this I saw in bug report was saying it was fixed but for me it is still happening. Any input? Thank you so much for the amazing work here.
Is MWSE up to date? Are there any errors in mwse.log? You could also try removing the MWSE/config/multi_mark.json file if it exists and see if that fixes the issue.
Thank you! I updated MWSE like a week before I started having the issue and then updated again and it was fixed. It's funny how fast those updates fly!
I've encountered a small issue. My marks list seems to have reset. Luckily I noticed pretty quickly and if I load an older save, they're still there.
Maybe it would be a good idea to be able to backup the list into a separate file every now and then by manually clicking on a "backup" button or something? That way if something goes wrong, you can just load the list back in. Just a thought. I love this mod. It saves me so much time and gold. :)
EDIT: Seems I spoke too soon. I loaded an old file where the marks were still there. I made a fresh save and reloaded that save. The marks were gone again. I also noticed that my reputation says "(nil)" and my bounty and factions info/list has disappeared. I doubt that has anything to do with your mod specifically, just interesting that the problems showed up together.
EDIT2: If I quit out and reload that fresh save, the reputation info is back, but the marks are still gone.
EDIT3: I re-added my marks a few hours ago and continued playing. I haven't had any issues with them since.
This is great in principle, but it costs magic/enchantment points to simply open up the menu for mark, or delete a mark point. Is that by design? Surely you should only have to spend points if you actually mark/recall?
I've only tested this using amulets of mark/recall. Particularly important for me as I'm using a mod that means enchantment points don't regenerate, so just deleting and replacing a mark point cost about 1/3 of the amulet's charge.
I can't get Recall to work. I have a couple of Marks set in place, but whenever I use Recall, the spell shows up as an active effect, I get the sparkly effect, but I get the "failed to cast" sound and nothing happens.
This might be a silly question, but did you try to adjust the spell chance in the mod configuration menu? It's based on your Mysticism skill initially, but you can change the settings to not be effected by your skill, so it just works. - Also, you can try using your mod organizer to update your mods before playing, because that may be an issue too. I use Polemo's Fork 2021. There is a version of Polemo's Fork for Open MW too by the way.
I'm torn between this mod and all the neat features, and something basic like Anchor Teleportation, which makes Mark & Recall more like Daggerfall's, which I think is more balanced.

Could be cool to have this feature baked in as an option in this mod.
Changes:
As of now, they still open the menu, but it costs magicka, which defeats the point of a recall amulet.
