This is a fix I found for my double ear issues (for male Bretons, male Imperials, & male Redguards):
After installing the mods in order following the description 1. Westly's Pluginless Head and Hair Replacer 2. Galleo Races Redone Pluginless 3. Races Redone - Hair and Helmet Fix, go into the Morrowind meshes folder (wherever_you_installed_Morrowind\Data Files\Meshes\b), delete B_N_Breton_M_Hair_00.nif, B_N_Imperial_M_Hair_00.nif, & B_N_Redguard_M_Hair_00.nif. Finally copy B_N_Nord_M_Hair00.nif & rename to what was just deleted.
With these mods the ears are rolled into the hairstyles, so it looks like the Nord_M_Hair00 was the only human head that properly had no ears for the bald style. I ended up doing this manually, but openmw should work for initially installing the mods, as long as you're comfortable manually changing the files mentioned above.
No more double ears on my bald monk. Thank you so much for this!
I had to fix one more issue. The Imperial ponytail hair mesh included in this "Hair and Helm Fix" mod had an invalid texture path in my game, resulting in a pink hair mesh in-game. I fixed this by copying Textures\b\B_N_Imperial_M_Hair_02_ColourMap.dds to textures\bh and renaming the texture to BH_FP_IM_M_hair_02.dds.
I really want to use this mod, but I don't want the Races redone mod. I'm happy with Westly's pluginless head and hair replacer and I really don't want to switch over, a shame as this mod would fix the ears clipping through the helmets.
Hi guildmasterlondon. I'm using the same mod as you, and I'm also looking for hairs. If you should find anything, let me know.
This mod solves a problem that another mod creates. I wish modders would stop MacKroming all the hair mods by amputating the ears and then needing to solve a problem caused by the same mod they try to adapt their heads to. That's why the vanilla hairs had the ears, and why all earlier (and now missing) mods also did. So this mod is actually just trying to fit in with a design flaw of another mod which not everyone prefers.
I'm having certain issues with hairs when setting this up in what I'm assuming is the intended method, and I don't know if it's an issue with how I'm setting the mod up or a bug. Basically, I'm installing Westly's, then Galleo, then the hairs version of this mod (replacing files when prompted), but having issues with certain hairs (mostly Dunmer Male/Female hairs), where certain parts aren't showing up, and scrolling through the Dunmer female hairs past a certain point causes an error to appear and hairs start to overlap. This is almost 100% an issue on my end due to inexperience, I'm just hoping for some enlightenment on the matter. I was just using galleo's before, but the clipping hairs threw me off, so I can't just not use this now that I know that can be fixed.
Hey, thank you for your posts. I have found the issue. The Galleo mods change the texture location for some reason. So I have updated instructions in the description that will hopefully fix these issues.
Ah, feels like that should be mentioned in the "requirements" then. I was having suspicions about if this mod works with vanilla hairs, since there was no other mods listed in the requirements but this answers that question.
That isn't a big problem a new mod that does nearly the exact same thing exists named "Galleo Races Redone Pluginless" but I think some adjustments need to be made for this version
In your description you noted that you'd be doing some final fixes at the end of August then bringing this mod to version 1.0. When should we see that final build?

It's essentially 1.0 right now, I was anticipating more bugs but it didn't happen.
Thank you!
Good luck with the rest!
