  1. ugh good. this is how the game should have always been. why give me armor thats so expensive i literally cant sell it anywhere in the game, while also limiting said armors enchanting value so much that im better off wearing shirts and pants instead?

as a new player of morrowind who plays an enchanting/heavy/two-handed build, i greatly appreciate the rebalancing. until this, my daedric items were mostly for selling.

Great mod by the way, however, daedric armors seems way too "cheaty" for me. Is there a way to edit the values ourselves? A base of 6 to 900 is simply way too dank

obviously daedric should be best, but i wish stalhirim and glass (as the respective best options in their weight category) had been made the second and third highest overall values.  it always bugged me that med and light were so far below heavy that you just cant justify wearing a full set.

While i love the idea, i think you went a bit overboard with higher-end armors, buffind daedric shield more than 30 times is a little bit too much of a jump to call it a buff. the lower-end armors seem like they are in a good place, but even one enchanted daedric pauldron can make you into a god now.
And i dont even mean when comparing to the base game, im comparing values in the mod and the range is way too wide. Daedric armor should be a ton better than iron, of course, but not 200 times better, thats way too much.

That's sort of the idea, to be honest. The daedric armors are pretty ridiculous now, that's why I ended up calling this an overhaul and not a balance. Like I say, this was just a personal mod that I decided to release, and godlike armor is the way I wanted it. The daedric armors specifically are designed to fit a feather enchantment that cancels out all or most of their weight, and then one or two extra effects like skill and attribute boosts. To give it a mild defense, while the daedric armor now gives you the *capacity* to make godlike enchantments, the ability to do so is still well beyond the means of anyone not totally dedicated to making those enchantments in the first place. From what I remember from testing this, it costs a bit over half a million gold to actually fill out the enchanting space on a daedric armor piece, so it's not like you become a god the second you pick one up.

So yeah, I'll admit, it is overpowered, and the power scaling is ridiculous, albeit by design. But if this is an issue for enough people, I might make a version that keeps the pauldron balances and stuff but has more linear power scaling (and by "enough people" I mean like, two or three I guess. I don't really have anything better to do)

I'll second this. I would absolutely use this if it was toned down a little bit at the high end.

Very cool mod but one question; why doesn't it also edit clothing, unless there's a mod for that out too?

Is this a global change that will work with armors added by other mods? Or is it a specific change?

Specific changes to every armour in the game, sorry. I wanted enchanting values to increase pretty much exponentially with each tier, so I  had to do them all manually rather than just changing the enchant multiplier.

So yeah, armours added by other mods will be pretty underpowered for enchanting, especially higher tier armours. But hey, changing enchant values is really easy so if there's a particular modded armour set you like, you could always just set the new value itself. Might be too much of a hassle if you've got lots of modded armour though.

I liked this mod, but it does not work with the better armors mod. This is suck :(
I would be very happy if a good soul could fix that.

edit: It just cause a conflit with the better armors mod, the mod itself runs ok, but better armors can't keep the same.
