- The sword given to you by the Famed Warrior background now has it's own custom mesh, courtesy of RedFurryDemon.
- I have also fixed the bug where the Famed Warrior sword's name and upgrades were not persisting across game sessions. Now, killing rivals will permanently increase the damage of your sword.
- New background: Green Pact - For Bosmer only, this background prohibits you from eating non-meat products. An upcoming patch will include an MCM option to add/remove ingredients that count as meat-based for this background, to allow compatibility with other mods.
Not currently, but I hear there's a $50 "bounty" for creating an OpenMW version of this mod over at the OpenMW Discord, so hopefully you'll get something soon.
Hey there! I always loved that aspect of Arcanum, it's so great to see it implemented in my favorite game. And it's so seamless, too! Here's a stupid question from someone who's not great at modding: what program am I running the interop file with to add a background? I'm deeply unfamiliar with cs and mwedit, but if I have to teach myself I will.
Could a patch of some kinda be possible? Maybe you could add the bounty to whatever region the player is in currently when the checkCrime function fires.
Have you tried just resizing the stats window? Otherwise I don't think there's much you can do except get a bigger monitor. What resolution are you running the game at?
That was with scaling at 1.3, but as I said, changing it down from 1.45 as I had it before made no difference - everything got smaller at the same rate.
uh there's plenty of room, just expand the window. Like, click on the bottom of the window and drag downwards. That's what I meant by resizing the stats window
No, I can't think of any setting or mod or anything that would prevent you from just resizing the window to be larger. All those menus can be moved and resized however you want.
That's very strange, because for me they can't. The stats menu (and I think the magic menu) have hard limits on their sizing. I've even tried fiddling with the ini settings for them, which didn't do anything..
Apparently there is an MCP option to unrestricted the menu sizing. It's enabled by default so you would have had to uncheck it for some reason when you installed MCP.
Request to make the Tracker skill toggle-able or at least reduce the distance. If you have mods that adds creatures it can clutter the screen and slow the game down a bit.
Can I suggest that you make Tracker's 'Detect Creature 100 pts' ability toggleable, similar to RandomPal's changes to 'Balanced Passive Races and Birthsigns' on his miscellaneous mods page? In vanilla 'Detect' just shows up on your minimap, but with a mod like 'Enhanced Detection' the visual overlay gets really old really fast, especially if you're using the MCP option to have 'Detect Creatures' also detect NPCs. Thanks for the mod!
Little warning about Blood of a Dremora. Don't take that background if any of the magic schools are major or minor skills. You will not gain any level progress after killing the Dremora if you do.
Hope I'm posting about this in the correct place, however I decided to try and take a crack at adding my own backgrounds to the mod. Now in the case of two of these I've succeeded, however for the third one I tried adding, despite all the code seemingly being just about the same as the others, whenever I try to load this background in the mod is unable to load, since apparently this background is non-functional. However, once I comment the problem background out of the backgroundsList.lua file, the mod goes back to working as normal.
I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing wrong, since as mentioned I did manage to add two other backgrounds without issue, with code that was just about identical in overall function as far as I can tell. I'll include pastebins of the edited backgroundList.lua file as well as the lua files for all the separate backgrounds I've managed to make, any help with ascertaining what's gone wrong will be a great help: . Edited Background List (with problem background commented out) - backgroundsList.lua . Functional Backgrounds - Barrow-Magus, Legionaire Father . Non-Functional Background - ??Tong-Raised

The stats window is already resized to its maximum size.
