How much is the Ring of Surroundings buff?
Is it still garbage compared to the Amulet of Shadows?

It's now a 50 - 70 chameleon enchantment for 30 sec. Still weaker than the amulet of shadows, I will redo the stats in a later update

yeah the amount of work you have to do for it makes it non worthwhile considering the enchantment, when you can just take a casual stroll to Ald Velothi and get something better in more simpler manner

As others have said, Divayth Fyr actively WANTS you to try and take his artifacts. It's a weird game from our point of view, but from the point of view of a four-thousand-year-old wizard, well, here's his actual dialogue for the option 'plunder the dungeon':

"When you live for thousands of years, you need a hobby. Something you love, always sparks your interest. I collect treasures, and invite thieves to steal them. I'm a collector, and a sportsman. I collect enchanted items and ancient artifacts. Have quite a few Dwemer pieces. And, as a sportsman, I love letting thieves try to steal my well-guarded treasures. Only a few rules. One, don't hurt the inmates. Two, don't hurt my daughters. My Warden and guards can look out for themselves."

As for the other changes, some further explanation of exactly what was changed would be really nice, as well as values, so we can make better-informed decisions. For example, what is it that you get when you equip the Skeleton Key?

I understand that it's his wish that you plunder the dungeon, however when it comes to his chests in his chambers and the tower that contain ridiculously powerful artifacts (Game breaking for early levels) it's better that they are more protected. Of course, all you need is some sneaking skill to manage to steal them.

Which ones? You mean the chest containing Scourge and the closet with the Savior's Hide only?

Yes, the rest of the dungeon is still open for the taking, except Volendrung

...I suppose Volendrung would be more gamebreaking at early levels with the enchantment you gave it, and you're correct about just needing to sneak with enough skill/chameleon. Still, in vanilla, going through Fyr's dungeon-raiding only using the keys provided gets you the key for the chest with Volendrung, so.... Scourge and the Hide make some sense at least in that they're not (in vanilla) so neatly a part of the dungeon-plundering that Lord Fyr is explicitly fine with, and for those you don't have to brave the Corprusarium, which looks like it was part of what made this little game so interesting to Fyr, whereas Volendrung is right near Yagrum in the Corprusarium.

I've barely played Morrowind and even I'm against the ownership change. Everything else is interesting/good.

People aren't supposed to care about you taking the artifacts in Tel Fyr, it's Fyr's eccentric game. He wants to see you try to get it, and if you can you deserve it. He's old, and this is one of his ways to amuse himself.

"Tel Fyr Artifacts - Changed Ownership of chests, people now care about you taking daedric artifacts"

Tel Fyr? Divayth Fyr? The Corprusarium chest game? The one he invites you to play basically? The chest game unlocks the small ornate lockbox leading to the daedric crescent. People who open that aren't going to get caught stealing right? They also have a key for volendrung that box. There's also a key to open one of the chests out in the halls. which leads back into the Corprusarium. What exactly did you set as owned?
