That's if your definition of "vanilla friendly" is strictly literal. Vanilla doesn't mean early 2000s, low res textures or bust. It's a stylistic concept. Textures that have the same look and feel of the vanilla textures without taking too much creative license.
I mean, look at Tyddy's retextures of the game's architecture. That's about as close to vanilla as you can possibly get without simply upscaling the game's textures, which has actually been done in some cases.
To OP. "Vanilla Friendly" means that any "Vanilla Friendly" mod can be put into the game, without needing 12 other Mods to accommodate it, it means it can use VANILLA assets, without needing hundreds of other changes to be able to use the mod. Just "Set and Forget"
I'll be sure to download this later, awesome! Strongholds appear so much in the game yet there are very few retextures, and most of them unfortunately aren't handmade and kinda clash with the original style. These look perfect though, just like your Hlaalu textures!

THAT is what "Vanilla Friendly" means.
Thank you!
Tested on OpenMW 0.47 / 0.48 (with a million other mods), and it works flawlessly!
