I recommend starting a new game if updating to version 4.0.0. It may be safe to update mid-save, but there are a large number of changes to dialogue, quests, etc.
Version 4.0.0+ uses a metadata file which is read by MWSE to confirm that you have OAAB_Data installed and give you an error message if the OAAB_Data-metadata.toml file with the correct version is not found. OpenMW users are unaffected by this for now.
Endar Drenim just keeps saying give me a moment when i return to give him the weepings and vampire dust, i have the most recent version of OAAB what should i do?
Thanks for the report! I've found the issue and it will require an update to fix it. For now, run these two commands from the console and you can get past this part of the quest:
I'm running version 4.0.6 and I encountered the exact same issue (Ender says 'give me a moment', though he also takes 1 unit of corprus weepings each time, and force-closes the dialogue box). Thanks for the console commands, but can you double-check that something else didn't break this quest?
I was getting the "missing mod" message even though OAAB was installed and up to date. I removed the meta file and stopped getting that message.
Does the purpose and functionality of the meta file ONLY encompass the issuance of error messages? If so, I'm happy to keep the file omitted, and knowing the nature of the meta.toml file would give me a better understanding in general, as I can't seem to find an answer anywhere.
So I think I somehow soft-locked one of the quests.
After going through the main OAAB Tel Mora quest for healers in Tel Mora, Dratha's Mouth asks if you want to keep the index or not, and I didn't think I'd need it again so I gave it back.
The next quest in the chain is diagnosing the mentally unwell woman for the new healers. But here's the thing: they ask you to GO BACK to the caverns beneath Tel Mora, *but I had already given the index back to the Mouth*. Yet the quests do not acknowledge this at all, and it seems to assume you kept the index. So why even allow us to give the index back if we need it again in the very next quest??
I tried to talking to every NPC from the Healers questline to see if there was a topic to ask for it back, or find it again. Nope. The quest just gets soft locked, forever to be unfinished in your journal.
If you pay close attention to what the healer tells you, she hints that there may be another index near Dratha (it's hidden in her chambers). It's definitely easier to complete the quest if you don't turn in the original index.
I kind of stuck in a smiliar way. I did not keep the Index, but cant find another one in her chambers. I assume her chambers are labeled "Upper Chambers"? Any hint would be welcome!
Diel Annarick asked me to help cure his paralysis by talking to another character but I actually used a spell to cure it instead. He's even able to move, but his dialogue didn't advance or change at all
Edit: Nevermind, I see now not being able to progress this way is an intentional design because the paralysis is suppose to be a unique spell. Sorry
Minor conflict with Thieves Guild in Gnaar Mok, as this doesn't seem to allow the Herder's Crook placed by that mod to appear in Dratha's chamber. Maybe add it in?
For OpenMW, neither the MWSE folder nor the metadata file are necessary. The metadata is read by MWSE to provide the game some information about the mod (like that it requires OAAB_Data, and generate an error if you don't have the correct version installed).
I'd suggest cleaning your save game and backing it up just to be completely safe. But I don't foresee any issues with it. I only made a minor change to a pair of dialogue responses.
For the Quest "Illusion of Time", I have the Corprus Weepings and Vampire dust, but whenever I talk to Endar about the Vampires in Tel Mora, he says, "Give me a moment," and then nothing happens.
I think I finished the healers portion of the mod. I think that it added a good bit of robustness to Dratha's backstory, which was definitely needed! I also enjoyed all of OAAB Grazelands - the Telvanni region of Vvardenfell has so much adventure and magic now. Do you have any plans or ideas for other expansions in Vvardenfell?
I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying it! As far as the Telvanni are concerned, Tel Branora is the area I have my eye on next. Other than that, Gnaar Mok has been on my radar as well.
It looks like this is an issue with MO2 where it may not have installed the OAAB_Data-metadata.toml and so mwse is flagging it as not installed. You need to ensure that file is in your virtual Data Files.

I've also updated this mod to version 4.0.4 which should fix this issue.

Like everyone else, I'm a big fan, btw!

I did in fact find another index. Hidden like a boss too.

MWSE? Do I need it? (Openmw) and what is "Metadata" ? Sorry I am building my first Morrowind modlist, so I just want to learn and do it right :)
Is there a solution to this?
Respect for keeping on top of everything!
