First off, I think this mod is absolutely brilliant - it's exactly the kind of "Lovecraftian" questline I was looking for in this game. You managed to conjure up a mysterious atmosphere and I think that's the important part.
However, I'm getting a mesh loading error upon entering the Twilight Grotto (second black book), and basically not a single texture loads inside it. It's just the green sky and the water. No issues when returning to the main world. Any idea how to fix this?
Great Mod !! Hermaeus Mora had no presence in the base game, this mod not only grants him justice, but he also feels like a malleable presence in the game. Without spoiling too much, there's no guides out there for the quests (someone should probably make a video some day), so you'll be relying on your wit's to solve problems, the journal entries are good at telling you where to go so you'll be okay.
I just wanted to help people understand the Inscription system because I had a bit of trouble. I was also Anxious about whether or not this would work with Ashfall, because both Inscription from this mod and Bushcrafting from Ashfall use Paper as a material. Both mods have completely separate ways of Crafting so there's no issues. To use Inscription to Craft Scrolls, do the following:
1) Equip the Quill 2) Go to your inventory and Drop the Paper **make sure you only drop (1) paper at a time, because if you drop a Stack, you'll waste all the paper and only get (1) Scroll. 3) With the Quill equipped, draw your weapon as if you're about to attack 4) Pick up the paper by activating it 5) Done
Would any modder be capable of rebuilding this mod for OpenMW? Or maybe just making a somethin akeen to compatibility patch for it to work with OpenMW?
OpenMW still lacks some of the functions employed by this mod, thus the use of MWSE. A bare bones mod could be made, but that requires rebuilding it around the gutted segments that were integral to the mod. Some section would need to be rewritten and other dropped completely - at that point, I'd rather just start from scratch.
A good mod. But the Inscription didn't work. I don't have mods that change or use paper.
P.S. Lol. Are you serious? "Activate" does not mean dragging the paper onto the character's image in the inventory. "Activate" means to throw the paper on the ground and activate the paper on the ground. And the Magic Quill should be retrieved as a weapon, not just equipped.
The author, I think many people did not understand this. Especially among non-English speaking users.
Sorry, "activate" meaning activating from the world and "equip" meaning drag onto the character window is how Morrowind refers to these actions, but the mod description could be more explicit.
It's actually a great mod, but still some issues there, the old mand wasn't wearing any armor at the end, there are some texture problems with ghosts and skeletons and some entries in journal never disappeared after finishing the questline, so the quest seems unfinished, overall all those “errors” are minimal, and this mod is certainly fun, although a bit confusing and hard for low level characters
This mod doesn't add coughing. It may be from Character Sound Overhaul, in which case it would be a bug with that mod, or from Ashfall, in which case you have the flu.
Is this supposed to be triggered by entering just any bookstore? I entered the one in Ald Ruhn and nothing happened. Didn't see any error messages when I started up to suggest that the mod didn't load properly

Please ensure Skills Module is installed and MWSE is completely up to date.
