Hi, I'm getting an error when I try to extract the .rar file with 7-Zip saying "file cannot be opened as archive". I've tried downloading it again and the same thing. Will not work with NMM either. Please help, this looks like a really great mod and I want to be able to play it.
That's bizarre. I've used WinRAR to zip the file. I've also downloaded it again just now and opened it with WinRAR. I don't have 7-Zip installed, so I can't check if that works right now.
Could it be server related? It's now 10 days later already, have you tried it again?
First off, great mod. However, I wanted to do something similar for a personal mod for my self, but I can't seem to add any spells to the races in the game. Any pointers on how you made this mod?
Did a mostly vanilla playthrough of a argonian , and found them to be very strong because of that you don't have to deal with poison and almost any diseases , after some jumping I did not need the boots of blinding speed and the helm of Oreyn Bearclaw is a thing that worked fine for me.
And Nords don't have to deal with frost, and take only half shock damage. And Redguards have the exact same disease resistance and almost as much poison immunity, so Argonians aren't much better off than them. Not sure what jumping has to do with the Boots of Blinding Speed.
NP dude, you had some good suggestions. I might make a "lite" version which does give fun abilities (like jumping and swift swimming), but not the invasive weakness/resistance things and the "cheaty" stuff, like free poison damage and god-like leaps.
I do agree the names could have a more lore-friendly bent. Yet the vanilla powers have really descriptive names - just "Resist Disease", which is boring, but I thought it should line up with that. I think I will make more interesting names; some of yours, some different. Stay tuned.
Also, it's fine if you use it! But maybe link people here as well for the stand-alone.
Looks interesting but I got races/birthsigns are more fun mod already installed and that gives unique stuff to all the races and unique birthsigns. But perhaps in another playthru as an Argonian/Khajit.
Yeah, I've never used that mod, and I'm not interested in switching some numbers around. My goal here was to make Beast Races actually have big differences from non-Beast Races. I think giving the player more tools (abilities, powers, spells) is a more fun way to do that than tweak the attribute numbers.
So really Races are more fun and this have different goals. I might look into a compatibility patch, though.

Swift Swimming = Aquatic Grace
Natural Water Breathing = Amphibian Gills, or Argonian Gills
Spit Poison = Hist Venom, or Lizard Venom
Coldblooded = Cold Blood, or Cold-Blooded
Btw, the Argonian disease and poison resistances are swapped in the description -- 75 for disease and 100 for poison. :)
Also, would you mind if I integrate these ideas into a full race/birthsign/vampire/creature overhaul I'm planning?
