I have this mod, it shows up in OpenMW's settings, and I have the boxes ticked. Sadly, no weapon sheathing.
I installed it via MO2 using a tool that translates MO2 into OpenMW--Kezyma's OpenMW Player--and in the case of other mods, it works just fine, but this one is experiencing difficulty. Is there something with how this mod works that prevents this method from properly running the mod, or is it just not compatible with existing save files?
Thats cos OpenMW is a mess and getting awesome MWSE mods like this to work on it is a nightmare. Thats why I just stuck to original Morrowind. Works great for me
Anyone having issues with this mod. I’ve tried almost every way of installing it and nothing gets it to work. I’ve tried mwse openMW, 7zip, winrar you name it. Has anyone got it to work. I have code patch, graphics extender, patch for purists, and better fonts all which shouldn’t conflict with it right? Any help?
i never had any problems with it on OpenMW (so no code patch or mwse) until i started a new game. not much help but just so you know it does usually work fine, and when it does its really awesome
does anyone know what could be causing my weapon to be visible floating in first person? i saw someone having the exact same issue on reddit but he hadnt had any answers about it..
EDIT: once i removed the Sitting Mod https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/55660 the problem went away
Excellent mod! I'm using OPenMW and cannot find/acces the 'in game' mod menu listed in the mod features, how do i access this in openMW to adjust the mod preferences?
I'm trying to have it set so shields are DISPLAYED on the back when 2 handed weapons are equiped?
Can this be installed using MO2? It's giving me an error saying "The content of <data files> does not look valid" but I don't see any way to make it "look valid."
MO2 just looks for the way the folder is structured. In Morrowind's case it tries to assume that the root folder of the archive is structured the same way as the Data folder of the game files. To fix this one you can try these steps:
Unpack the archive.
Move the contents of the Data Files folder to the root folder (WeaponSheathing, the one you just unpacked).
If you want anything from the Extras folder, find the Mesh folder within your desired draw animations and move it to the root, replacing any files that conflict.
Delete extraneous folders (like the empty Data Files folder and the Extras folder).
Your root folder should now have an Animations folder and a Meshes folder.
Repack the archive and try installing with MO2 again.
Hope this helps. Some variation of this process should help you to install most if not all mods with MO2. I also usually hit the manual button when I install a new mod so I can uncheck anything I'm not using.
Scroll down on this site and click on "Download the latest nightly build here!". If you already have it installed, just run MWSE-Update.exe in the Morrowind root folder.

Ended up back here looking for shield sheathing just to see that's already part of this mod.
However shield sheathing doesn't seem to work, turning on the shield sheathing option just makes my shield disappear

With this active, the npcs and player no longer touch the ground :(
