Are you still planning to port this? I would love to use this mod in Skyrim Special Edition!

I admit that I pretty much forgot about that and I'm not actively modding at the moment. You could try putting them in textures/sky and removing the Tx_ at the beginning of every file name, as far as I can tell right now that should be the correct path and names in Skyrim (SE). Tx_mooncircle_full_M/S.dds don't exist, but moonshadow.dds looks very similar. I don't recall exactly what these do in Morrowind and I don't know what moonshadow.dds does in Skyrim. I think it has something to do with transparency against the sky, at least in Morrowind. You could try renaming Tx_mooncircle_full_M.dds to moonshadow.dds and see what happens, or just leave these out.

If it doesn't work, please let me know and I'll see what I can do.

FYI the filenames change between games, and the implementation differs (different moon alpha system.) I'd suggest examining each game closer if intending to port as planned. ^^

You are right about the filenames, of course. I actually checked before writing this, but missed the small difference that the Oblivion and Skyrim ones don't have "tx_" at the beginning of their file names. Apart from that, they are the same.

Anyway, about the alpha system, do you know more about this? The Morrowind vanilla moon textures also use alpha, but they are only transparent where they are supposed to be, and I have no idea how this works (Edit: Apparently, they are projected onto a spherical mesh). The new moon is an exception as it uses an empty texture in the vanilla game but when textures with alpha channel are added, you will be able to see Masser through Secunda. Other than that, I don't see any difference between textures with or without alpha channel.

If I am going to release them for Oblivion and Skyrim, I will test them to see if they work, of course. That is why I wrote "should work."
