How strange! I was just on your YT Channel and left a comment. I'm new to MW Modding and it's going to be my first full play-through but I've spent most of my time adding mods learning how to retexture.. anyway when I was on your channel, I was like I wonder if this guy would teach how to do all this stuff.. then I come over here and BAM! Like time travel magic from last year, this tutorial is here to teach! Woohoo.. I'm excited to get started, thanks for posting this up for us.

Everytime I select the faces for the start of uv mapping then highlighting all edges of those faces, selecting mark edges for cut, right clicking again, clicking continue and then unfolding, Wings3d crashes after clicking on create texture then pointing to the atlas.png for the background and none for draw edges then clicking ok. When I open your Wings3d house it says atlans.png bad image. Can't figure out if this is PEBKAC or something on your end, but I can not continue in the tutorial and I am stuck here. Someone enlighten me.

I know this was asked months ago, but for what it's worth:
you need to download and install some fixes.
      read about them here:
      http://www.wings3d.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2660&pid=13803
copy all the files into wings3d_2.1.7/lib/wings_2.1.7/ebin

Interesting tutorial, although I am not so sure if it really is the right thing for beginners. I've never heard of Wings3D before, but your approach is similar to mine in that you use a program without support for nifs for modeling, only for me it is Sketchup. And to me, Sketchup is what Wings3D is for you according to your blog: the best when it comes to ease of use and simplicity. And being used to working with it for many years, Wings3D just seems clunky and impractical to me, but for someone else, the same may be true for Sketchup, at least when it comes to modeling for Morrowind or another game, as it involves some cumbersome converting of the model with Blender. But I'm am also getting more and more used to working with Blender, and really, modeling a simple house like in your tutorial is no more complicated than what you describe for Wings3D and I really recommend learning to use Blender from the start for absolute beginners. It is not as complicated as it seems, especially not the newer versions.

Anyway, I appreciate your effort and I'm sure others will find it very useful.

However, I noticed the links are not working as they are set to a target in the document itself, not to a web address. Clicking them just brings you to the first page in Word. In the PDF, links are not working at all. You should change that so people can get the required files, especially the Nif exporter. There is also another one for newer Blender versions here: https://github.com/niftools/blender_nif_plugin/releases

It is not only for Morrowind, though, and may be a bit more complicated to use, as far as I can tell from taking a look at Greatness7's. It also has a few quirks like meshes being invisible after exporting as NiAlphaProperties are somehow added to every NiTriShape on export.
