Announcement:
Tested and working with OpenMW 0.45, TES3MP 0.7-alpha, and Reshade 4.2.1.

Dark Shade is a Reshade preset for OpenMW and TES3MP that both makes the game more colorful during the day and darker at night. It takes advantage of some advanced shaders such as simulated high dynamic range, ambient lighting, depth of field, and ambient occlusion. See above for comparison photos against the vanilla game.

Requirements
1. Windows Operating System
2. OpenMW 0.44 or higher (or TES3MP 0.7-alpha or higher)
3. Reshade 3.4.1 or higher (install instructions included below)

Installation
1. Download Reshade from here.
2. Download the Dark Shade archive from the files section of this mod page and unzip it.
3. Put the Dark Shade.ini file into your OpenMW or TES3MP directory.
4. Run the Reshade installer and point it to the openmw.exe or tes3mp.exe in your OpenMW or TES3MP directory when it asks you to select the game.
5. When asked to select rendering API choose OpenGL. The bubble may already be filled in but click on it anyway to start the install.
6. There will be a popup asking if you want to install standard effect plugins. Select yes.
7. A page comes up asking which effects you want to download. To use this preset you must get the following:
AmbientLight.fx
Clarity.fx
Colourfulness.fx
FakeHDR.fx
LightDoF.fx
MXAO.fx
Alternatively you can download all of the plugins which will give you more settings to play with but will make Reshade load slower.
8. When it's finished getting the plugins click the box to edit Reshade settings.
9. Under presets browse for and choose the Dark Shade.ini (NOT RESHADE.INI) file then select it in the Select Active drop down box.
10. Tick the performance mode checkbox and skip tutorial checkbox.
11. Press okay.
12. Exit out of the installer and enjoy!

Sometimes the game will start with the screen all messed up and tiny. If this happens just relaunch.

If you have issues with the newest version of Reshade here is a link to the old 3.4.1 version that someone else uploaded:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/au4lvk667c1ds1l/ReShade_Setup_3.4.1.exe/file

If you don't like the extra saturation uncheck the HDR filter in the Reshade menu.

The keyboard home button is what brings up the Reshade menu for me but if that doesn't work for you, the Reshade loading box that comes up when launching your game will tell you what your keyboard combo is.

Mod Compatibility
This mod should be compatible with all mods except for other Reshade presets.

FAQ
Q: Will this work with newer versions of Reshade or OpenMW?
A: It should work with any new versions of OpenMW. It will work with new versions of Reshade as long as the update doesn't mess with the shaders this preset uses. When this happens let me know and I will try to update the preset ASAP. Reshade will show errors in red text when this happens. See below the installation instructions above for a link to the version this preset was created with.

Q: Will this hurt performance?
A: Yes, give or take 8 fps.

Q: Should I turn off OpenMW's anti-aliasing?
A: This preset doesn't add any additional AA because Reshade AA doubles the performance hit, doesn't make a noticeable difference, and causes shimmering artifacts. Stick with OpenMW's AA.

Q: Will this work without OpenMW?
A: Not sure but I wouldn't recommend it. This was designed to look good with the OpenMW enhancements.

Q: Why did you make this?
A: I couldn't find any other reshade presets for OpenMW so I made my own.

Q: Why does your preset look bad?
A: That's subjective. I like my preset. This is also the first one I've ever made and I'm not claiming to be a preset god.
