Hy there, I'm using the Compatible with Fires of Orc- Version, and I'm having trouble with some containers not accepting items, they have absurd values that go beyond 1million, I can use a few of them but not many that aside, even with this issue there's great storage, and the hut is indeed cozy and comfy, liking this mod very much
Hi, thank you for letting me know. I haven't opened the construction set in a while, but I'll take a look at this issue and see if I can get this fixed.
Hi, I think I figured it out. I'm using an ancient version of the Containers! modder's resource by Danae for most of those containers. Looking at them in one of my lighter weight construction sets crashed the program outright. I'm going to make some edits to them to reduce capacity under 1 million and change the IDs so the edited containers don't conflict if someone else is using that same resource in a different mod.
I'm guessing you're using a mod that lets you see container capacity in-game? If so, could you please let me know what it is? That way I can test it out and confirm I fixed the issue. Thanks.
I'l do as soon as I get to the game, but from memory: Most of the containers go above 1M and beyond, even going out of the bar limit, some had Negative millions of capacity which was weird, and some can only store some very specific items, only allowing items of 2.00 Weight or more for example.
I wonder how these can be playable in game but crash the Developer tool :v funny that
Hi, I just uploaded a new version with reduced container sizes. I'd recommend making a save outside of the hut before installing it (although I didn't change anything other than the containers from the modder's resource). Let me know if this fixes them or if I've got to dig deeper.
Hyhy, so, I'm trying out the update and so far the special containers all work properly now, but I did have to remove my items from them first and deposit them on the ground outside before updating to the new version as the entire home resets, the default clutter comes back and the inventories empty themselves, so do put up a warning just in case
about warnings, I did get a few warnings when loading an older save, about missing plugins (updated version not recognized as the same mod?), I got some warnings about the special containers, but that time I had Not removed my items before loading the save, to see what would happen, and they disappear with the reset, so maybe that's the cause. when I took the items out I did not get the containers warning
Good call, I guess changing their ID and capacities would wipe them completely. I will put up a warning. It's strange that the entire home resets, as I didn't make any changes to the cell besides updating the containers, but I guess I also shouldn't be surprised.
I should have tested how the update would affect a home being used. Thank you for your help, and let me know if anything else breaks.
Alright, I know it's a little too late, but I've got it figured out. If you try out the new file in the updates section in Files and replace the old v1.0 .esp with it, you should be able to use a save from before you updated and the house should not re-clutter, AND the containers should be fixed and not delete their contents. I think it was respawning clutter and deleting objects because I renamed the .esp instead of replacing it. I'll know better in the future. Thanks again for bringing this to my attention.
Hey I was just wondering if you ever made that version that's compatible with Fires of Orcs because they would be perfect together and I'd love to add this to it if you don't mind making the patch.
Hi, I know this is 5 years too late, but I just created a version that should be compatible with Fires of Orcs. As long as you aren't using any of the additionally included Orcish weapons it should be compatible with any previous saves. Thank you for your patience.
It looks very homey! I love cozy house mods. I'm guessing this one isn't compatible with The Fires of Orcs, because it sounds like it would be perfect for it.
I just checked out The Fires of Orcs, and since both of our mods add dialogue to the Orcs in Valenvaryon, I'd assume there'd be some incompatibility there. Give me a little and I'll try to get a compatible version out that doesn't have my dialogue in there.
