It has been nearly a year since I uploaded this incredibly rushed mod. At the time, my modding skills were very basic with practically no scripting experience. Since then I've learned a lot, and I plan on returning to this old piece of junk. I hate seeing other people abandon mods with good potential, but that's what I've done here. I'm going to start work on this mod again soon, and make it the port town it claims to be! This time I will have no set upload date (as this was originally for the Morrowind May Modathon), so I should be able to make something good out of it. In the read me it says this is a beta for the starting location of a TC. This will never happen. The mod will be a simple town with a great backstory (which it already has), and some good quests. Thanks to all who downloaded this. If the update isn't out when your reading this, please still download it so you can see a bit of what's to come. yay! thankyou! btw... considering the upcoming major overhauls Skywind and Morrowblivion, you might want to consider compatibility, these look to be VERY popular makeovers: https://tesrenewal.com
personally until these come out i'm happy to use morrowind rebirth, but i won't ask for compatibility with that, just thought you'd want to consider the big boys they're building on tesrenewal and i'm sure they could use all the quality modders they can gather ;-) thx for returning! ~ from a random TES fan, no advertising intended
It's really cool to see that someone is excited about the update for this mod. I think you maybe confused about something. Skywind and Morroblivion don't use Morrowind, so compatibility wouldn't be an issue. I'm completely remaking this mod by the way, and I want it to be A LOT better than the original. I'll be keeping the location and layout of the town. When it is released I'm going to upload it as a new mod and link it here, but after a week I'm going to remove this file from Nexus.
You need to disclose that this mod is part of an unfinished TC up front, because most people don't expect to install a "town mod" that changes every single GMST in the game and is packed with other dirty edits.
Next time you release something like this as standalone, you need to clean it up first.
Sorry about that, but I actually tried cleaning it and it ruined all the landscape I edited. It is my first big mod though, so mistakes were inevitable. I have plans for mods to come out soon, do you know of any good mod cleaners, and if so could you give me a link?
Enchanted Editor will let you selectively delete dirty edits while leaving your other changes intact. http://mw.modhistory.com/download--1662 It takes a bit of time to comb through a whole mod with it, and make sure you back up your file in case you accidentally wreck it, but once you figure out how to use it, it's more effective than other modding tools (save tes3cmd, but you have to really know what you're doing to use that one).
