I like this idea, but after much exploration and several painstaking searches of areas to which the oracle directed, this mod seems to function with my OpenMW 0.47 setup only as an artifact remover. The artifacts supposed to be randomized were all gone from their original places but did not seem to appear anywhere else.
I know that OpenMW can be more finnicky with scripts than the original game, but checking the mod's scripts in the editor did not turn up any errors.
I am not sure if this works for me. The shrine guided me towards Dren's Villa, I've got to it, found a very suspicious chest with id mort_chest_dren... aaand it is empty. I've checked the entire villa - no artifact.
I guess I'll try a different location to see if the same happens again.
Really love this mod so far, thanks for sharing. Just one thing - would it be possible to turn off the "Randomized - have fun" message? After having seen it for the 50th time after loading a savegame it gets a little annoying.
This sounds really interesting and like it nicely addresses Daedric loot being far to easy to get and common. Also this Oracle Stone sounds like fun and really needed with there only being one of each Daedric piece but also helping turning it into an achievable hunt rather than impossible task to find the items.
Though I share Krokantschmerz thought, mods popping up dialogue boxes is rather immersion breaking and when there's a number of them doing it quite annoying. The average mod user isn't going to dare to open up a mod to edit it themselves especially when there's a mention of the word "scripts".
Perhaps instead of the message box you could add a scroll with the information to the players inventory (or even place it with Fargoth's ring at the start), as a bonus it would be a really nice touch if such a scroll were worded to fit into the game, especially mentioning this Oracle Stone.
Edit, I thought this message was when starting a new game, though I now realise Krokantschmerz implies it happens every time a game is loaded, that sounds rather extreme.
Edit: Nevermind, I posted because I thought this mod let me get two copies of the Ring of Surroundings but apparently there are actually two of them in the game. Oops. Though now I have to wonder what item the Oracle was pointing me toward at the Dren Plantation because I scoured that place and the ring was the only unique item I found.
By the way, any chance of an alternate randomizer that keeps items on Vvardenfell? I don't really like to go to Solstheim or Mournhold.
This is awesome. I think it would be pretty great to do the same thing for light/medium armor variants. Perhaps, along the lines of Light Daedric Armor from Morrowind Advanced? For medium armor, I'm not sure what the "legendary" set would be. It seems awesome to have one perfect armor set out in the world somewhere for each playthrough. Excellent idea.

if you restrict daedric weapons to being super rare finding one is a "OH HELL YEAH" moment
