How many quests are in the current release?

4 according to the mod description. That should increase quite a lot with the next release I imagine, because Skyrim: Home of the Nords is up to 40 and most of the developers are the same. The existing ones might also see some reworking.

I assume this mod won't work correctly if Skyrim: Home of the Nords will not be updated to function with Tamriel Rebuilt

Yes this mod works fine with the current Tamriel Data and Tamriel Rebuilt.

Hey, just a heads up. I've been reading the comments here and we've acknowledged that Tamriel_Data v5.1 is causing issues with the latest SHotN and P:C releases. We are working on a hotfix. Until then, please use an older version of Tamriel_Data.

    Cheers

Hi, if this is someone from the project tamriel team, I'm having the missing items warnings issue with SHOTN and PC after just updating to the latest 18.07 TR and Tamriel Data v6.01. Had no issues with the previous version and hotfix. Trying to leave a bug report on the TR website also.

Thanks for the reply, I left a bugreport with my warnings.txt on the TR website and the response wasn't so helpful unfortunately. Basically, I checked the TR page and downloaded Tamriel Data v6 directly from there, while the ONLY place I've found that actually mentions that PC and SHOTN need v4 is on the file download page for Tamriel Data here on the nexus(unless I missed something). The main description page, readme, and main pages for TR, PC and SHOTN don't mention this at all, and the TR page actively states that the latest version (v6.01) is the correct version to use with both TR and Project Tamriel. The readme was completely out of date and mentions v2 or newer, if I recall correctly. So, if anyone else reading this has the same issue, apparently if you want to run PC and SHOTN with the latest TR update the only solution is to wait for PC and SHOTN to release updates.

Not trying to come across hostile, sincere thanks for the reply, and I'm not trying to throw any shade your way. I just spent all day yesterday on my day off updating only to break my setup, and then get told I didn't follow the instructions properly, so I'm a tad irked.

Sorry for the late reply. A new hotfix has been uploaded just today that should work just fine with the latest version of Tamriel_Data. Thanks for your patience!

@Iheartgiantrats: you can probably keep playing if you really want, but process is very complicated and you'd better backup Morrowind folder before trying it.
To properly upgrade and keep playing old saves, you could try process described here (the gist of it is: to correctly use Mash updaters, you need both mod versions before and after upgrade, with different names, and if identifiers have been changed/deleted between mod versions, you would need a up-to date Translation.txt + a special version of Mash able to use Translation.txt  with updaters process (you can find it in package linked at the bottom of the article).

If you don't have other mods other than PC and SHOTN depending on Tamriel_Data.esm master, a simpler process could be
    1. re-download Tamriel Data 4 if needed
    2. rename old (the 4 version) TR_Data.bsa to TR_Data4.bsa, PT_Data.bsa tp PT_Data4.bsa
    3. add TR_Data4.0.bsa, PT_Data4.0.bsa to your Morrowind.ini [Archives] section before TR_Data.bsa, PT_Data.bsa, e.g.
    [Archives]
    Archive 0=Tribunal.bsa
    Archive 1=Bloodmoon.bsa
    Archive 2=PT_Data4.bsa
    Archive 3=TR_Data4.bsa
    Archive 4=PT_Data.bsa
    Archive 5=TR_Data.bsa
    4. redate/verìify date of the .bsa files so their date-modified respect the archives section loading order (from older to younger).
    5. rename the Tamriel_DatN.esm having both 4.0 and 6.1 identifiers to Tamriel_Data.esm and use it instead of the one from Tamriel Data 6.1
    6. (not sure it's needed) run TR_FilePatcher_v2.jar on old PC and SHOTN mods
This simpler procedure should work ok with new games, with previous saves you will probably still have references problems, Mash repair all could help with them

hey thanks for the info and detailed proces instructions, I've been busy at work all this past week and just getting a chance to see this and work on things. For now I just reverted to my old setup using v4, it wasn't difficult since I use Wyre Mash to manage everything and I've been using mods a long time and pretty much know what I'm doing, but I certainly appreciate this info since the whole "updaters" process has always been a bit confusing to me and I tend to avoid it if at all possible. Anyway, much obliged, thanks.

Even though I registered the BSAs correctly, some meshes are still missing. Some Ayleyd chests and some pieces of the docks do not appear.

I seem to have a similar issue with items.

Docks, chests.. those are fine, but the Redguard Robes for example are pink in 1st person

If using openMW, and you register the BSAs you need to re-import your ini file. Did you do this?

In the OpenMW launcher there is a tab where you can import the settings of your ini file.
OpenMW has it's own ini file which it reads instead of the morrowind.ini found in your game directory.

You guys are certified dream machines.

    Seriously.

Oblivion was my first Elder Scrolls game, and it wasn't until years later that I realized what we lost. Since then I've been dreaming of the day when I could experience Cyrodiil as it was originally intended.

I've been following this project since high school. I can't wait to see your next release. I only wish I could help out in some way.

Is OpenMW functional now? I looked all over their page & at GitHub but had a hard time telling if it was really usable. Thanks!

It is pretty, pretty functional. IMO I would not play Morrowind another way.

OpenMW has about everything that morrowind.exe originally had, with better ingame features and excellent performance(very rare/obscure bugs and extremely rare crashes). The only thing its missing are some of the features of MGE/MGEXE and MWSE. But that again would be redundant soon.

there are still problems with meshes/scripting behavior different from standard, these are not morrowind bugs, just incompatibilities still not solved

I agree...there is still a ways to go with OpenMW to match the original. With good modding practices in place, I haven't crashed in a couple of months now. Nothing at all against OpenMW...I tried it as well, and I am sure this mod is designed for it...but so many are not. Just doesn't have the flavor for me right now. Thank you abot for all you do

In case like me someone stumbles across this thread seeking something else, OpenMW is fully functional. I've been playing it for over 2 years with Tamriel Rebuilt and a host of other mods not even registered as compatible. I'm running on antique equipment with 4 gig ram, whihc means after several hours of play with the HD version of TR I exhaust memory and experience big lags in play, requiring a quit-restart of the game. But for any machine with modern specs I suspect this is not a problem. Oh, and I'm running it on linux (Lubuntu).

So quick question. I'm a bit confused by the description of the mod, and the statement at the bottom of the page:
The Province: Cyrodiil Team is proud to present the second release in our efforts at bringing the province of Cyrodiil to the world of TESIII: Morrowind..

..We have been working on bringing the lands of Cyrodiil to TES:3 for almost ten years.
But the description leads me to believe this is just Stirk island with no main quest. Am I missing the link to the other releases of "Province Cyrodiil" which include the mainland? All I'm seeing is a link to "help bring Skyrim to life", and something called Discord. If someone could point me in the right direction I'd be grateful, this looks like nice work. Thanks!

The Island of Stirk is part of the province of Cyrodiil. This is the part they've starting with making, the rest will be made as fast as they can make it (small team). There is actually a questline for Stirk planned but it hasn't been implemented yet.

And to be clear, they *have* made progress in other areas of Cyrodiil - had already at Stirk's release, actually - and not just in assets. Stirk is just the only relatively completed region, and so the area that has gotten a public release.
