I'm using a 2060 super with a Ryzen 5 3600 and it KILLS my framerate.

Same. It's a shame just how much this kills my framerate.

After I saw how many candles were in the screenshots, I came to the posts to check for this very comment.
      Thanks.

This is quite a beautiful mod that's absolutely essential to palace design, but it might be worth making a custom mesh combining all the candles into a single TriShape (doable with NifSkope's Combine Properties and Combine Shapes functions). A tedious endeavor, no doubt, having to copypaste and reposition candles in NifSkope or Blender all over again with an imported stair mesh as reference, but it would vastly cut down the number of draw-calls and improve performance a great deal -- especially for an exterior cell.

This is awesome but cuts the usual 120fps down to 12fps near the temple :(
    Using lastest openmw

Just a friendly warning - this mod WILL tank your FPS here! I rolled up to the temple for the 1st time in my current save and it was an immediate "wtf happened" moment. I check my mod list and found this as the culprit. With my system (16gb RAM, i7-7700k, 1080Ti) I was getting 40-25 FPS in the area with the mod enabled. Now that it's disabled, I'm getting my usual 100-200+ FPS again. This is on the latest OpenMW nightly (I also followed the Total Overhaul list on Modding-OpenMW).

Looks great but it ain't worth it unless you can deal with the potato performance in the Vivec Temple area. Maybe this is only an issue with OpenMW?

I found this to be the case as well but it took a while to find because my biggest FPS problem child I was testing was Ebonheart Castle. Who knew the actual issue was across the water behind me. I go from my own capped 60fps to 30 on an i7 4790 and 1080Ti

This is a really stunning sight. Unfortunately, it drops my FPS from ~28 near the entrance to the High Fane and whatnot, to 11, just looking at the candles. I am sure it's some combination of the mod with all my MGE settings and whatnot. I'm not complaining, but I thought I should let you know.

Yeah my frame rate eats it right around St. Delyn. @vojteek it looks like the candle meshes are probably already batched, could you merge the glow effect into one glow? That should probably drop the performance impact while keeping the same feel.

EDIT: I had both ESPs active, and that was what was killing me.

This is a really great looking mod, especially at night.

    Endorsed!
