I liked the sky since i use watercolor textures but the other options do not mix well (too dark) Also using distant terrain (openmw) with this setting make the textures look weird vertex lod mod = 0 composite map level = 0 composite map resolution = 400 max composite geometry size = 4.0
So, having played with sharperwind, I can make a few comments.
I'll go from worst to best, bearing in mind it is only my opinion: - The mod is mostly pluginless but there is a plugin for the landscape replacer that MUST be cleaned. I recommend using tes3cmd but there are other options as well. (pluginless vs plugin is not the issue here) The skin replacer doesn't work for me at all. To be fair I hate the original skin textures as well Some landscape textures are too contrasted for my taste, that is however, just my taste. + The textures are generally darker than the original, which I like. The vanilla look of Morrowind is preserved. Most textures are an improvement over vanilla texture without killing your fps The replacer is fully modular so you can suit it to your tastes. I really like the armour retextures, so much so I am keeping them. Ditto for the architecture replacers. Also keeping them.
Overall, give it a try, especially if you feel you don't get to use HD replacers because of your system but would like a slightly different look for your Morrowind. Looking forward to further updates!
forgot to retexture statues thanks for letting me know that also in the video, Also I found a texture named wheat, Hoping that involves those pesky baskets ive been having problems retexturing. More awsome stuff coming in v2.3
Yeah I had that but I updated it, will have a video up eventually. Even with the video it won't show the true aspect of it since I'm running Intel dedicated.
While I appreciate the effort, I'm not sure sharpening is the best way to ameliorate these textures :/. The best method will always be to paint textures from scratch, Photoshop has it's limits.
Yep, in most cases simply sharpening a texture has the complete opposite effect of what you want to achieve, especially with textures as low res as in Morrowind.
Everyone has there own tastes is this an assumption by the screenshots though or play through? Right now I'm stuck with the worst Intel graphics on earth and can't upgrade lol.
