I was looking at the daunting task of editing meshes by had one by one for glass armor. Taking the Tad_rock_refl3b.dds file from here and renaming it for glass_ref Did pretty much everything I needed. Thank you so much, i know this wasn't the intended purpose but oh it feels nice not to spend 2 hours to modify each shiny armor by hand.
That's great, I never considered the possibility that you might already be working on OpenMW compatibility, since your mod officially still requires the Code Patch. Other incompatibilities that I think I've come across: The sun flare didn't work for me and there were no new animations, even though I remember seeing animated blacksmiths in Morrowind Rebirth. There is a fixed Morrowind Animated esp that seems to work perfectly in OpenMW, so maybe it's possible to fix the animations in Morrowind Rebirth. Thanks for your work, anyway.
You should have made it clear in the title that the fix is for Morrowind Rebirth because there are other mods with that problem. "On the rocks" has shiny rocks as well but, for some reason, I could solve that by not using the meshes. That's fine by me for now but, I take it, making black reflection maps could also be a fix. (?)
The Morrowind Rebirth sun flare is broken in OpenMW as well, deleting the files tx_sun_05.dds, tx_sun_flash_grey_05.DDS gives you the OpenMW sunflare.
