Great mod! I just "rescued" Feyiin - everything worked but I got thrown this error:
Sound file not found: data files\sound\Dan\fv_thirst.wav
There's no such file in the mod, and so I'm a bit confused - my Ashfall mod was active and I was thirsty at the time - so not sure why it references that file in the warning text. :/
It's possible it didn't add it to the archive. I'll check next time I'm modding. The sound won't be used again so you;re good for now. Thanks for the heads up :)
But it must be said that despite this little nuisance the mod is excellent and the house is neat and lovely, thank you very much for it! I enjoyed it a lot.
Oh, I wanted also to say that when I returned to Feyiin to complete his quest I didn't expect that I would be engaged into the conversation about his quest immediately, and that after the quest completion he vanishes instantly and gives me no opportunity to ask him about other unique topics in his dialogue. I didn't reveal them earlier because I thought that I should help him first and quench my curiosity later (priority!). Now I suspect that he is no more anywhere in the game and the only way for me to reveal his unique dialogue topics is to load a previous save before I accepted his quest. Is it correct?
Feyiin's house makes a snug, cozy home for a starter character that has convenient access to both Balmora and Pelagiad. Not a ton of storage, but enough if you're just starting out.
Greetings! I've been trying out little quest mods as of recent, and having enjoyed your Bards Life mod, I found myself inclined to try this one of yours as well! I've recently started a new play-through and been eager to try it out, though it seems after initially meeting Feyiin, I've run into a roadblock of sorts.
It's more than likely me overlooking a simple detail, but I can't seem to find out where to go next. I've met him, and briefly looked over his house (which is VERY lovely, might I add; having the NoM facilities is just icing on the cake x)), but upon a second return I've been met with a message akin to "The door is locked. The owner must be out."
I searched around his house in case there was a note that may have been left behind, hinting at somewhere to go, but was unable to find anything. I spoke about rumors and secrets with the locals in Pelagiad, Seyda Neen, Hla Oad, and Gnaar Mok, supposing they might provide insight since the first is close to his dwelling, and the others are in the Bitter Coast region, but gained no information pertaining to Feyiin. My only clues are a mention of herbs I vaguely remember from reading his journal some time ago (but have since lost access to since being unable to re-enter the house), and the mod description that specifies that the quest takes place in the Bitter Coast (I do have a journal entry, but all it mentions is that I found a cave near Pelagiad where an elf named Feyiin lived). The Bitter Coast + Herbs led me to believe maybe I would find him somewhere in the wilderness searching for herbs, but to no avail as of yet. I searched the internet for a walkthrough, and was able to find a brief discussion of the mod on a forum that mentioned having to help him out of a swamp at one stage in the quest, so I searched through multitudes of the little bodies of swamp water throughout the Bitter Coast, from Seyda Neen to Gnaar Mok, but was unable to find him in them either. There's a chance I may have missed one, but it's just a little upsetting thinking to track through all of them. "orz The Bitter Coast is a large chunk of land to search through.
Any help would be appreciated. I also apologize in advance, as the solution is probably very simple and I walked right past it on multiple occasions.
Feyiin is out and about in the Bitter Coast, not too far from where the falling mage... falls He is indeed stuck in a muck pond. When you get near enough, he actually shouts help. Hope this helps
Thank you! I don't know how I missed it the first time, but after passing through the area again I heard his cries. I'm very happy with the new home; the transportation to Balmora is perfect since I've been considering joining up with Hlaalu on this character. Thank you again for the timely response as always, it's greatly appreciated.
I played this in the Bitter Coast Compilation mod and the little house is sooo adorable! The teleport ring and the tunnel to Balmora are also super useful! (I suppose some might find it a little unbalancing if you do it very early in the game, but it's a matter of personal taste.) The only complaint I have is that when you help him out of the swamp, he teleports you to his house and you don't have a say in it. If you have a companion with you, this could possibly cause problems, but other than that I guess it doesn't really matter. Also, I'd really love to be able to find out what happens to him after the quest! :D
Feyiin's adventures does continue but that a (much) larger mod still in beta stage (Forum thread: http://www.fliggerty.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?style=5&f=114&t=4603) that includes Feyiin's Troubles and fixed the instant teleport issue.

One thing - you might want to lower the trapdoor to Balmora. It's a bit of a speed bump every time my character walks over it. =)

I love the clavis resources and glad to see them still being used.
That door in particular is my favourite, it's been in every personal house mod I ever made.
