    Sounds like an interesting mod, but the NPC edits (especially high-ranking councillors) will probably generate conflicts with mods like LGNPC.

    You may be better off setting up inaccessible containers and mark these as owned by the ring carriers, that way the NPCs themselves aren't directly edited. I believed that's the same method used by the HELLUVA mods to assign new items to merchants without editing them directly.

      Hmmm interesting. I will look into that, though that does somewhat unbalance the game to an extent, but there may be another way to add them via script also. Looking into it, thanks for the input.

      A bit late to the party but would it perhaps be possible to write one-time scripts that add the rings to an NPC's inventory when they're first loaded?  Or a script that adds them to the NPCs' inventories after so many minutes in-game?  I was never very good at scripting for this game but I think that should get around the issue of mod conflicts, if so, since it wouldn't be directly touching the NPCs.
