I saw the dark elf pictures on reddit, asking what mod the heads/screenshot were from, a few weeks ago. Found the mod, but i guess we dont know what heads were used still xD
Yeah I was wondering the exact same thing buddy. I mean I don't need him, but damn, I have never seen such a well made custom race mod for morrowind. It makes me wonder where he got it, and if there are more mods like it. I'm also very curious how they converted oblivion armor. to morrowind armor. As we all know the pauldrons on oblivion and skyrim are combined with the armor. If more people are converting the armors from mods of oblivion and skyrim to morrowind. That would open up a LOT of customization options. Still looking for a mod that does the khajiits and argonians justice. maybe one day I'll find a modders' resource for the lilmothiits.
It is an asset he ripped and imported from another game entirely, (that coincidentally works as an Argonian) so he cannot legally put it online, though he does have some instructions in his user profile about rigging assets from other games for use in Morrowind. I believe the asset in question is Bahamut from Final Fantasy, which he used as his account name as well. As to converting between Morrowind and Oblivion, (and even Skyrim) there are automated tools that aid in accomplishing that, though I must say that even with such tools and the excellent instructions I will link you to, this is a difficult process: https://www.patreon.com/posts/rel-wip-to-2017-16152492 (The link also directs you to all the programs you will need.) But yes if you follow those instructions, you can convert Morrowind mods into mods that Oblivion will load. Custom textures, weapons, even land mass mods like TR (or Morrowind, the game, itself.) Only the simplest quests can be converted now, because of differences in scripting language between games, but even that may be possible in the future. The link is for Morrowind-to-Oblivion conversions, then there are other tools for Oblivion to Skyrim but they are too buggy to really use- atm. (And to go backwards and get things into Morrowind, use Bahamut's instructions to directly rip assets out of say, Skyrim, and then manually import them into say, Oblivion. I did this to replace Oblivion's Spriggans with the Spriggan models, textures, animations etc. from Skyrim, which I thought looked a lot better. And though I can't upload that for obvious legal reasons, I will show you a picture just to demonstrate that it is quite possible: https://i.imgur.com/CyPRFFs.png) Only thing that didn't work was the glowing effect on the spriggan's eyes and torso, but I didn't feel like getting that working, though I could have.
Always CTD when I try to put the cuirass to my character. This is weird :/ Several years ago I use this mod & it's no problem at all (I use Win XP at that time). Now I use Win 7 Pro. I already use MCP, and also exeOpt patch + 4GB patch too. I use MW steam version, and installed MW outside Program Files folder to avoid UAC problem. I have no problem with other armor mods (ex, Drake Knight armor mod, SKE Armor mod). Does anyone know what causing the CTD? I like this armor mod T.T
Are you using MCP 2.2 or the 2.3 beta? I'm having the same issue and I'm running the 2.3 beta, which doesn't have two of the required options for the armor. I'm guessing that may be the problem.
Nice armor, but there are some missing/wrong texture paths. If you try packaging the mod with TESFiles it will find all of them [EDIT]sorry, the update fixed this already
I've been playing with this armor ever since Psijonica pointed it out to me awhile back, but I gotta ask: what's the head mesh used on the Argonian in the pictures? I've looked everywhere but haven't seen anything like it.
IIRC that was a personal race that the original author played. I don't think he ever published/shared it, unless I missed something from the old Planet Elderscrolls days.

Just want to inform you, there's a misnamed texture file in the archive:
In Data Files\Textures\Sotonhorian folder, the file "CuirassF_hiha_n.dds" should be "Cuirass_F_hiha_n.dds" ( lack of "_" )

I found the culprit of the CTD: misnamed texture file.
Solution: Go to Data Files\Textures\Sotonhorian folder, then rename "CuirassF_hiha_n.dds" to "Cuirass_F_hiha_n.dds"
I found that when I was trying to edit the meshes with Nifscope. Hope this help you both!
