Hey, when entering the House of Earthly Delights and interacting with the "NPC" that Aloros asks you to find, nothing happens. I have selected every dialogue choice offered by the NPC, loaded an older save and tried again, still nothing. Aloros is with me for each instance. I would appreciate any help! this is an awesome companion mod!
I took a look over this mod, and it's great. Aloros's backstory is pretty interesting, and I can see that you spend a lot of effort on writing it. In combat, Aloros worked fine and were very useful (We gave Telvanni guards good beating together). And there where only one bug that I noticed in this mod and it is ''Back to Morrowind'' dialogue entry becoming available to all NPCs in game. I took a look at it at the Construction Set, and it seems that you had two responses under this topic. It's easy to fix, just delete second unused response and after that, it works fine. Overall, this is a great companion mod.
Hello! Thank you for posting this! I'm glad you like this mod, and the character! I'll definitely fix the "back to Morrowind" when I get home. Thank you for posting this!
Hey, first I just want to say i appreciate the effort you've put into this mod I really enjoy it.
However, I kinda lost Aloros when travelling in sadrith mora. we where flying over the city and he was right behind me when I walked into the council hall. And now he is just gone. I've tried to use the "tcl command" to see if he had gotten himself stuck in a wall or something. But nope, he is just gone. And of course I could just reload, but my last save is a really old one, and I dont wanna re-do all that stuff, you know the feeling :^) Could you perhaps come up with a solution because im blank. Thank you.
Also, does this mod add a Telvanni hostile NPC to the Corprusarium? I went down there for part of the main quest and got wtf pwned by some guy with the console ID "Telvanni Champion"
Started playing around with this mod...still early on but have some observations and critiques:
(1) Aloros' armor looks awesome, but is a little overpowered. If he is going to have such powerful equipment, then I suggest having him wait to join the player until the player is higher level. (2) Aloros isn't "no lore'ed", meaning he has dialog topics for several general npcs in the areas you visit, such as Sadrith Mora. I often find that this can break immersion with companions, but it's not otherwise too big of a deal (3) Aloros offers to teleport the player to the Balmora Mages guild, which is strange because the guild and House Telvanni are enemies. I would suggest a different location in Balmora for this (4) I love the backstory, but the dialog could use some editing for grammar and whatnot. Happy to help if you can send me a transcript (5) It's possible to get Aloros to follow you before completing his introductory quest. Is that supposed to be the case? The quest dialog makes it look like you have to do a favor for him first...
Please don't be discouraged by my critiques though. Very much looking forward to adventuring with Aloros and completing his quests!
Can't wait to try this out once I get MW up and running again later this week! I may even add it to my list (http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1490690-jasons-quintessential-telvanni-mod-list/)
One suggestion: part of what makes the universe of Telvanni mods so unique is that it's intertwined--many of the mods are compatible with and, in some cases, interact with each other. Some of the things that you may want to add for additional awesomeness, and to continue this trend, could be having Aloros comment on the companions from Uvirith's Legacy while they are in follow mode. You could filter the dialog accordingly using the companion follow globals shown here on the author of the mod's page (http://stuporstar.sarahdimento.com/compatibilities/modding/). Other things could include adding topics for specific characters and subjects introduced by other Telvanni mods.
This companion has a lot of great potential. Looking forward to seeing what you add next!
MatthewTheBagel, do you mind if I suggest some features, like the ability to turn Auto-Move on and off, the ability to see his health percentage and ask him to heal himself of disease and damage, like Jasmine and Julan have? They're very, very good features, and I think Aloros would be much improved by that.
Hey! Thanks for the feedback! First of all, I would love to look into these features, and will try to add them. Although I'm confused on what you mean by auto-move. Also, by health percent I assume you mean individual percent like; 63%, instead of the 30-60%? If so, I'll definitely look into that. Plus I haven't tried Julan, but I hear he's a great companion. Maybe I can learn I thing or two. anyway, thank you for the feedback, I'll definitely look into it!
Auto-Move is a feature that Julan, Jasmine, and Constance (By Emma, the lady who did Vilja) have that causes the character to move out of the way when you walk into them. You can turn it on or off via dialogue. Yes, Indivudual percent would be great, although if that isn't possible, something more accurate than 30-60 would be great, hehe. If you want help coming up with quest ideas / whatever, feel free to let me know - I'd love to help out.
Oh! One thing that would be amazing, is if after a while, when you befriend him, Aloros gives you a ring/amulet that, when you equipt, allows you to contact him and if outdoors, allows him to teleport to you. Not sure how they did that, but I know a few mods that have that script.
OK, so today I looked into, and added the features you suggested. Aloros can now cast healing spells (only when his health is below a certain number, and I think if you give him potions, he will drink when needed. You can also tell him to cast a chameleon spell, fortify sneak spell, and cure disease spell. I also added the Auto-move feature you recommended! If you have any more suggestions, or want to talk about quests, message me
This mod adds a frost spell that does massive damage to all NPCs, as well as the PC. It has no name, but does so much damage that it will easily one-shot someone. I managed to figure out it was this mod by selectively deactivating them. I'm disapointed - This looked great for my Telvanni playthrough, and the Telvanni Bonemold armor is the best I've ever seen.
This is a relatively well-known bug caused by the Brittlewind spell being set to autocalculate in the Construction Set (or potentially a custom spell made for Aloros, admittedly, but it sounds like Brittlewind.
Hopefully MatthewTheBagel will be able to fix it soon. In the meantime, try the Brittlewind fix ( http://mw.modhistory.com/download-13-10596 ), load it after Aloros, and see if that helps.
Yup, like Lucevar said, it's Brittlewind (Or so it seems.) Get the patch Lucevar linked, and I'm also going to include said patch in the files section of this mod.
UPDATE: I figured it out For some reason there was an odd new frost spell added, which is not supposed to exist. But, I cleaned the mod with Morrowind enchanted editor, and; It was fixed! The mod should now be bug-free!
So I decided to try out the mod and when you convince Aloros to join you the companion options do not show up other than companion share. Is there something wrong?
Hello, Ddayjba. Are you sure the dialogue options (- together, - combat, - spell, etc) are not there? I jut tested the mod on my PC, and everything works fine. Try reinstalling the mod, and make sure you enable both ESPs, along with the patch. Plus, you may want to try to not run the game with other companion mods, although I doubt that's the case.

Julan, Constance, Jasmine are examples.

(1) Does Aloros have a companion teleport ring?
(2) Does Aloros have a built in fix to the 72-hour bug, where he might otherwise have his stats reset?
Thanks for this great mod!
