Old comment, I know. This mod only includes the base textures. OpenMW shininess is usually caused by a mod that adds fake bumpmapping, which is done by a mesh replacer combined with an extra texture. I also checked myself and didn't saw the issue with atleast the limewire platter.
I appreciate this mod much more now that I have a Tower and places to put my LimeWares. Well done, anarkhya. - Edit 27th of January, 2024 Awhile back, I made a mod for Rimworld using this mods' textures. Thank you for giving me such excellent resources to work with.
Thanks for your edit! I've played Rimworld but modless, last year, it would have been funny that I stumbled upon this mod haha. Well, I'm glad it has been used for something else, totally in the spirit of CC SA licensing I was aiming for :)
I've just downloaded all 3 of your texture packs as I'm planning on replaying Morrowind (obviously). Just wanted to say nice work and I'd love to see what else you could do in future.
looks good but limeware is supposed to be shiny, opaque-colored glass, not a rough stone like real lifes "limestone". even in game there's only 1 errand you can run for a glass worker that wants you to get her limeware pieces. the scarab-imprints you have are very nice looking though, seeing those on murky/cloudy green glass would look amazing.
This is right, the vanilla scarab has an engraved look while I set up an old weathered painted look, and doing this I lost some details, so this is something worthy of an update, good point !
Frankly, I took no risks in interpreting the material and followed the vanilla direction. At first I found no real world refs for limeware until I reached limestone pages about its usage in ancient pottery, from this point Morrowind's lime ware made sense to me. Now that doesn't explain why such a raw pottery is associated to rarity and wealth in morrowind's terms, so I can see why someone would retex lime ware to reflect this
just tried this out and really liked and endorsed) is it possible for you to make a slightly greenish tint as an optional? grvulture has one but since its a texture it overrides back to the original. either way nice job)
Actually, these green tinted limeware's versions I've seen so far (seen in Ultimate Texture and also another mod if I'm right) made me decide to go for a retex since the green range seemed odd to me, too deeply green probably. Now, if you have some green tinted material to submit, I could take a look at these photo references and see how it could fit into the actual earthy color set..
Well, for now, I'm focusing on items that are, IMO, in need of a retex once Morrowind Overhaul mod has been applied. Now Morrowind's silverware already benefits from the work of GhostNull http://mw.modhistory.com/download-44-10088 however, ghostnull's textures being upscaled versions of the vanilla ones, I can see the need for higher definition.. I haven't decided yet what to do next, I may try to do some silver then, so thanks for the suggestion (:
Well, whatever you think is right for you! I really do like these retextures (a lot of us do, as you can probably tell), and would like to see more of them, but you have the ultimate choice in what you make, so if you want to respect the MGSO textures, I'm not going to try and have you do something else :3
That being said, these are awesome, and I can't wait to see more!

Just in case, everything I did is openMW compatible, as it is simply 2d pictures, textures.
Well done, anarkhya.
