I sent Ivolga a message asking for permission to upload a version of her mod with the TR_Data.esm issue corrected.  She hasn't uploaded an MW mods since 2017 though so I'm not sure she'll respond.

I did include instructions in a previous comment for how to fix the mod yourself - it really is very easy and the female nobles of Morrowind really do look like nobility with this mod.  I just finished a playthrough & it works great.

Depending on Ivolga's response, I will release at least a patch for this that includes custom icons for all the wigs & robes, custom ground meshes for all the robes, and an updated HD texture for the wig box ground mesh.

The new hairs from this seem to have vanilla ears attached to them while using MacKom's heads. Any way to fix that?

If you're running the Tamriel Rebuilt, you can easily fix this (or any)  mod looking for the wrong .esm:

    • Open the 'Data Files' folder in your Morrowind install.
    • Open the 'Docs' folder
    • Scroll down to find the file:  TR_FilePatcher_v2.jar and double click it to open.  (if it doesn't open, you'll need to download Java first)
    • When the program opens, click "Open Files",
    • Go up one level to see your mods, select DNO_RandomNoblesAddon_TR.ESP
    • Click Patch Selected Files.
That's it.  Anytime you run into a mod that's looking TR_Data.esm, you can run this to fix it.  I should mention that every now & again you have to run it twice.  If you have Wrye Mash, you can run it after you do this to confirm the file has been fixed.

edit 2: okay, I fixed it. for some of them. it works ingame for most robes but the robes that missed the 1st person nif file for the male robes will still crash for the corresponding female ones. the mod is also depending on tribunal now - I read in the comments that this used to be an issue, too. would it be okay for me to share that fix, ivolga or would you like me to send you the files instead?

edit: daedriccat in the comments here was right. the 1st person meshes for female robes are missing, even in the older version ivolga
recommended installing first. I'm trying to find out how to create
them... I'm a complete noob with nifscope but maybe just using the male
1st person meshes suffices to fix the crash at least... although I doubt
that since the crash file explicitly states that the female first
person part is missing so I suppose I need to create a copy of the male
one, rename it and then assign it to the new first person files in the
CS and hopefully that fixes it? x_X

Hey, I'm just wondering, is anyone able to fix the crash related to equipping one of the robes on a female character? NPC Nobles seem to be able to wear them but when you buy one and try to equip it, the game unfortunately crashes. I tried installing the old version of this mod and then the new one on top of it but that didn't seem to work either, although I will definitely keep experimenting. If I find something that works I'll post it here.

Was there ever a resolution to this? I got the same error -- no 1st person body part when equipping a new robe, instant CTD -- and I'm wondering if it was ever resolved. You mentioned that you have a fix or a file that fills in for the missing mesh?

I'd advice to use Aoimevelho's Mods for Wares - 1st person is fixed there.

Bug: The wigs use placeholders like icons instead of real images of the meshes.

Hello, are any updates / fixes planned for this (from author of community)?
I like the idea of mod but unfortunately it's somehow unfinished. I'm only using the hairstyles part now with RandomPal's edits for compatibility with Westly's / vanilla heads.

I tried to create "robes and hairstyles" only version for personal use (no ears for sale at vendors ), but
some robes miss body parts (Not sure if that's proper technical term, but basically when you wear them, parts of your arms are invisible in 1st person and also different are invisible on male nobles NPCs - I didn't tried every combination of sex and camera, this is just example). Does fixing it require editing of meshes or is it something in .esp?

Also, head circlets, scarfs, bands and similar jewelry uses neck slot (I suppose, checked yesterday in CS ... ) and when worn, making the neck invisible. (Tried with robert bodies and better clothing. Interestingly enough, or rather obviously for someone who know more than I do about modding, when worn with smith shirt from westly FCOT, neck remains visible.) And again, is it issue with meshes or can it be solved by changing some values in .esp file?

Anyway, I didn't found any problems with hairstyles-only part, so I still can be upper class, at least in Morrowind .

I love this mod! However, it might need a bit of an update for the newer version of Tamriel Rebuilt. They recently changed TR_Data.esm into Tamriel_Data.esm, and when I start up the game, it's looking for the older named version. I might be mixing this up with something else in my mods list, but I'm pretty sure it is this mod, since the game will CTD when I have either of the TR versions of this mod activated, since it's looking for "TR_Data.esm" instead of the newer "Tamriel_Data.esm". I so enjoy this mod, and especially the immersion-ish feel it gives to TR, but until it's updated for the proper esm, I just can't play it with the TR additions, sadly. Hope it gets updated soon- but either way, I still adore this mod!

Scratch that, IGNORE THIS. I was a doofus and used the wrong version of the TR addon file. I mixed them up while installing the mod. The updated version does indeed work, and I just messed up, MY BAD. That said, this mod is seriously fantastic, and I love it so very much. Thank you for all the hard work!
