I know it's been a couple years, but any chance this could be made at 1920x1080 or 3840x2160? I'm on a 4K monitor, so I want to achieve maximum quality.
This was made using the biggest box cover scan of the game that I could find. Making a higer quality version would require a higer quality scan of the box to use as source for images to compose both titlepic and intro video.
This is a game-changer! I felt sad each time I opened my game because the menu looked so washed out. I did try a few other mods but, because the intro video wasn't matching their title screens, it bothered me.
With your mod, I have HD intro video and HD title screen and that makes me the happiest woman on earth. Thanks Phobos! :]

Any chance you'd do the same for the mw_menu.bik video, like opengl2 mentioned before? The menu would look incredible with that animation in HD and widescreen.
This is for people who use OpenMW if the menu screen is still in the 4:3 ratio after the intro player than you have to change settings in your settings.cfg. Under [GUI] you have to add the following "stretch menu background = true". (http://openmw.readthedocs.io/en/stable/reference/modding/settings/GUI.html)
any chance you could mimic the animated background the game came with called mw_menu.bik which seems to be an animated background not used by the game but with MGE XE renamed to menu_background.bik plays the same type of animation i seen on the xbox game?
