jesus man reupload these as a SINGLE file. this cumbersome method of distributing mods is only made far far worse by the nexus's current policy of forcing you to load several different ad ridden virus filled pages to download every single file.
While editing the meshes of the Kwama Forager as detailed by ProfArmitage and converting the mesh to be OpenMW bump map compatible I noticed that there is no tx_kwama_forager_b01_nm.dds texture in the download. Am I missing a download, the file got lost before upload, or is it deprecated and was just not removed from the mesh.
Just a little note for anyone using the bump mapped Kwama Forager. If you open the mesh in Nifskope 1.1.3, expand the 0 NiNode root, click on each of the NiBSParticleNode lines, and change their Flags from 10 to 138 in the Block Details, the spitting particle effect will be restored, just like in Creature VFX Restoration.
The strangest thing just happened out of nowhere your urn mod stopped working for me now i'm stuck with that other guys bump mapped urn mod :-( it's like it refuses to use your meshes now and shows me vanilla i check nmm and just did a manual install and tried it without mge XE enabled still nothing weird it worked then stopped face palm
Looks good as always, though for the weapons I prefer my own version.
One thing, however: The texture tx_metal_iron_rusty.dds is used by more than 100 meshes in the vanilla game, and I'd recommend better not to change it to wood as you did in the war axe retexture, unless you like most dwemer furniture made out of wood... Better give it a new name and change the reference in the axe mesh.
And some of the textures are just too big in my opinion. Thanks to mip mapping, you'l never see the actual size ingame, anyway (for example on the wood rings texture on the club), but you'll still have the entire file in your VRAM.
Thank you for the feedback Pherim, I will change the tx_metal_iron_rusty.dds to a new texture as you said it was use a lot in game. For the size of the textures, I will probably do a low res version, you are right 2048 is a bit too big for weapons (but I like very high quality textures !) The colovian helm will be available very soon !
I'm all for high quality textures, but you should think about how big they will actually be displayed ingame. There's no need to have a 2k texture if you never see the full res version but maybe 10% of the time the 1k mip map, and the rest of the time even smaller versions. Many modders are apparently not aware of how mip maps actually work and believe bigger is always better, but I think you are not one of them.
