Why do some plants, such as the black anther, have no collision whereas other plants do..? It doesn't make much sense to me... I would really love this mod if there were no collisions on any of the plants altogether... Still, pretty plants...

For people who may want to download this mod, beware: It adds collision to many plants that have no collision in the original game, which means you can't walk through them, can get stuck in them or stand on them in midair. There is also a chance of blocked paths or entrances.

In the next year, unfortunately. But we work on the plugin.

It's almost 2020 meanwhile and no trees yet. Worse, Moranar hasn't been seen since 2016...

You should probably fix the errors in this mod for these meshes (it's great for performance don't get me wrong but openmw is really intolerant of errors that might squeak by on the original engine):

    https://modding-openmw.com/mods/better-flora/

I'm also going to join the chorus of 'remove those annoying plant collisions'. Especially if there is a way to do it without losing performance, eg: a low poly no collision alternative..

    Great mod!
It's very vanilla-friendly too. Do you plan to make models for compatibility with Graphich Herbalism?

I had a lot of trouble with this, as I was getting stuck in the plants and couldn't get rid of the collisions even with the no collision meshes. I eventually uninstalled it and the plants disappeared leaving the ground utterly denuded everywhere. It took me ages to solve the problem and here is the answer in case anyone else made the same mistake.

The collisions were not caused by the plants in this mod. They were caused by the grass. If you are running MGE XE (as everybody should be) you need to activate the esp only creating distant land files, then you disable it. This much is well known. However, I found that disabling the esp made the ground bare. The story was the same with other ground cover mods. Now, I had been told that MGE XE should be run with at least 150 min statics. So what was happening was that MGE XE was filtering out the plants thinking they were too small. This seems to me a fault with MGE XE as it should not be worrying about displaying small objects nearby.

I don't think I totally understand what was going on, since I wouldn't expect MGE to filter out vanilla grass. Maybe it just does. Anyway, Better Flora was not at fault and I might even reinstate the plant collisions as I don't mind bumping into large plants, it's just getting stuck in small ones that is annoying.

So far I am using only the plants and they look pretty nice with still reasonable polys. Also had a look at your trees in NifSkope, it's not comparable to Vurt's replacers but for "close to vanilla" models they look really great. A patch for Graphic Herbalism would indeed be nice, I have done a few meshes by myself but some need more work

    Anyway, it's a nice project.

EDIT: Oh, and I agree with Pherim about the collisions. Even if they are present in vanilla, it doesn't make sense at all to have weak flowers that have collisions. Run against a tulip and see if it can stop you

Trees will be slightly remade: http://pic.fullrest.ru/upl/4ilpIfbN.png But if you so like baobabs in Grazeland, I can't help you

If these tulips are so high as I... And there is version without cillisions

Even if it is twice your hight.... it takes a small tree to stop you (or at least me and i am not actually the Bear Grylls type of guy). Oh, and forgot to mention, yes, there is a folder without collisions but it contains only half the meshes, the o-subfolder is missing completely plus a few other meshes (looks like almost everything that can be harvested). That's why I actually brought up that point. Sorry, gettin' old. I would suggest to leave the collisions only on the korkbulb and the stems/roots of the BC ferns since those look like rather solid structures.

And I loooove those giant trees, they fit the scenery really well and look great in distant land. But the dead Bitter Coast tree looks really good too. Really looking forward to see what you will come up with next.

Also forgot to mention that the billboard effect on the gold kanet is sorta brilliant. One can argue if it is realistic and it looks a tad weird from certain angles but still it looks cool.

I think, that objects without collisions is more weird, than rigid stems of flowers. So version with collisions will stay main.

Only one of Vurt's tree replacers really fits to the landscape: it's the replacer for Bloodmoon. And the quality of the meshes in the all his replacers is awful. Sorry, but it's fact

Yes, and there is a replacer of bush with the same effect in the module "trees".

Well, the problem is, that in a game like this there are only two extremes "collisions" or "no collisions" but not "only some collision". So the question is what is closer to the truth? When you run against a flower or a bush it shows "some collision", it will bend or even brake slowing you down but wouldn't stop you and in the end, you will be on the other side. Bethesda decided to remove the collision with the NCO flag to mimic this in the original meshes (extracted from Morrowind.bsa, so definitely no modification), you decided to give them collisions following the other extreme.

Tried the sprite trees today for the first time since I was skeptical, I gotta say they look nice, much better than vanilla and the performance boost is really welcome. Keep up the good job.
