"A good place to stay" Mod - By Simstar (Simon)
For Morrowind, TES 3
Version 1.8, 29/9-2002
-Changed Mannequin textures to the wood mannequins (Don't know who made them,
but thx to whomever it was.)
-Reduced bedroom light slightly
Version 1.7, 20/9-2002
-Restored Bedroom to original settings
-Increased Framerate somewhere between 100%-200% in most areas.
-Increased Practice Dummy Hitpoints slightly but reduced regeneration rate.
-Changed some manequin settings
-Increased storage space in many containers and added a few new ones.
The primary objective with this version was to increase the frame-rate,
This was done by making many of the rooms in seperate cells. Unfortunatly this reduces
some of the free flow and open feeling in the house, but the loading time between the different
cells is very short, so the difference is hardly noticed.
The purpose with the practice dummy is not for the player to stand around in the house
and earn levels. Therefore, in order to prevent abuse, the dummy has limited hitpoints.
The old ingredient-shelves was kept for the sake of good atmosphere and extra storage if needed.
The teleportation mod has been made seperate .esp-file in order to please the people
who would rather prefer not to have it, but still wishes to use my mod.
INSTALL-INSTRUCTIONS:
Start morrowind with the last version used, load your last save game, get all your stuff
(Use console: player -> setstrength 5000), exit cell (go out of my house), save in a new
save game.
Restart morrowind with none of my versions checked, ignore error messages, Save game and
exit morrowind.
Restart morrowind with the new version, load the save-game you just created and move in...
(Use console: player -> setstrength Original value)... (Eks: player -> setstrength 85)
Finally I'll give credit and many thanks to the people who has tested my mod and provided
me with good and informative feedback on this version.
Version 1.6, 5/9-2002
-Removed many hallways and light-torches (increased Framerate about 15%)
-Changed Bedroom
Version 1.5, 2/9-2002
-Changed several rooms, There's now a seperate Weapon storage room, Armor Room
and a training room. The training room has a working practice dummy. The Armor Room has
many mannequins to display your Armor selection. The Alchemy room now also has a very cool
storage-bookshelf for ingredients in addition to the old one, each jar has a picture of
the ingredient.
-Increased many containers Storage space and added many new.
-Changed Interior cell Name.
-Changed some light settings.
-Reduced number of lights in crate.
The new cell name was necessary, but it means that you have to move all your stuff from any previous
version of this mod to an new cell, then save and reload the game with this mod and move in. A good tip: Open console,
type: player -> setstrength 3000,
once you have moved your stuff, reset your strength to your original value.
type: player -> setstrength (original value),
The bookshelves with the alchemy pots with pictures have been
"borrowed" from the "Abandoned_Flatv2_0.esp" mod made by GhostWhoWalks. (I think?)
Version 1.4, 2/7-2002
Changed some light settings
Fixed some spelling errors in the alchemy pots
Version 1.3, 22/6-2002
Changed file name from:
Balmora, A good place to stay, Near Temple, (-3,-2) Ver. 1.2.esp
To: A good place to stay, Ver 1,3.esp
Since a few people experienced crash problems due to long file name. Hope this helps :)
Version 1.2, 21/6-2002
Removed forgotten unused caveentrance located just east of temple. (sorry guys)
Changed several light settings, and turned off the flame40 sound of the torches,
in order to speed up framerate. (only had a small effect)
Added a few lights, plants, and tables. Moved bedroom dining-table a little.
Shortened corridor entrance.
Version 1.0, 19/6-2002
This mod creates a nice underground place to stay.
It's located in North-west Balmora (-3,-2) between the temple and the "Fine Alchemy" shop.
It has several rooms with good atmosphere and more than sufficient storage.
The rooms has been designed for Magic/Alchemy, weapons/Armor, Bedroom, and simply
just for storage for other things... All containers are labelled with their
storage space. There's also many tables for displaying your cool stuff.
The mod is for real roleplayer's and has NO tons of loot inside that you can sell,
NO NPC shops that have tons of gold. NO tips or spoilers, NO teleportation etc...
There's only a few candles in a crate left of entrance, in order to light the place up
just a little more.
I've spent a lot of time on this mod, and have made great effort to make it a CLEAN mod,
so it should be safe... It's been tested and I also haven't seen any mods
conflicting with this one...
Personally I think it has alot more atmosphere and are alot more useful than many of
the other mods I've seen (I.E. Abandonned Tower in Balmora etc.).. But try it out
yourself and make your own opinion.
The bookshelves with the alchemy pots have been
"borrowed" from the "House_DOrthay.esp" mod made by Sisca.
The bookshelves with the alchemy pots with pictures have been
"borrowed" from the "Abandoned_Flatv2_0.esp" mod made by GhostWhoWalks. (I think?)

To install, extract the Zip to your Morrowind directory. The files will
unzip to their proper locations. Upon startup of Morrowind, in the main
menu, select Data Files and check the
Balmora, A good place to stay, Near Temple, (-3,-2) Ver. 1.0.esp
so the mod will load. Good luck.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IMPORTANT!!! IF YOU DECIDE TO USE THIS PLUG-IN AND YOU'VE BEEN USING THE EARLIER VERSION
YOU'LL NEED TO REMOVE ALL YOUR STUFF FROM THE HOUSE, PLACE IT ALL (INCLUDING YOUR CHARACTER)
SOMEWHERE IN A DIFFERENT CELL, AND THEN SAVE THE GAME. NOW YOU CAN DELETE THE OLD VERSION OF
THE PLUG-IN FROM YOUR DATA DIRECTORY. RELOAD MORROWIND WITH NONE OR THE VERSIONS AND SAVE
THE GAME AGAIN. RELOAD MORROWIND WITH THE NEW VERSION. LOAD UP YOUR SAVE, GET YOUR STUFF,
AND MOVE ON IN!
