The mod does what it says, it replaces the old dock bridge of Seyda Neen with a better stone imperial bridge, which does make travel between central Seyda Neen and the road out of town a bit easier because there's a little more room to pass annoying NPCs standing in the middle of everything. Overall, a simple, useful, and decent first mod. Endorsed.
Review Update on July 14th, 2014: File has been cleaned of dirty references and appears to be completely safe for players.
Just a question here; How can you endorse the mod if it has these dirty edits in it? When I see endorsements from members (especially premium members) I kinda take their word that the mod is clean and is in working order?
I know how it feels to have one mod destroy my 3 year oblivion set up. All because of one dirty armour mod that had a very nasty WILD edit. Even removing the mod didn't fix it by the time I figured out what was happening.
I think the mod looks awesome and I support the idea however until these issues are fixed I can't endorse it. My endorsement means that I recommend using it. I can't in good conscience recommend using a dirty mod ever.
Most reputable mod authors clean their mods these days. This is not the early days of modding. The majority of MW mods were not cleaned because they didn't even know about cleaning back then. Everyone knows of these cleaning tools today. Maybe this author is new and doesn't know and your advice is perfect however it is one thing to help inform the mod author and mod users about the errors in the mod and another to endorse the mod as working. Because it is not. There are dirty edits and wild edits both of which can damage your game.
If I bring my car to a garage so install a radio and they install the radio using sub par parts that can cause fires or short circuit my electrical system, then are you telling me that you are endorsing this garage because they installed the radio. Sorry but there is a fundamental flaw in your logic.
When I see someone endorse a mod it means that they have tested the mod and it works. What you have told me here is that you will endorse any mod regardless of the quality of the work (which is the case for 90% of endorsements at nexus mods.) If a mod requires cleaning before use then I can only imagine what other mistakes have been made.
Any ways, it is a pet peeve of mine. People are so desperate for endorsements here but if a mod is made properly and it is a good mod it always will get endorsements. (I also dislike the annoying endorsement reminder system which I find intrusive to minimize what an endorsement really means. But that is something else entirely.)
***Justy to reiterate; I like the concept but dislike the implementation. And for this reason I can not endorse using it. I hope the author fixes these errors so people can enjoy it.
First off, calm down please. There is no reason to be offended by anything I posted. I am not going to get into an argument with you about what new mod authors know and what they don't know. LoL That is just silly.
If you look at my post I CLEARLY qualified my statement with the words, " Most reputable mod authors clean their mods these days." The key word here (which you obviously so blindly missed) is REPUTABLE.
So your whole rant is based off of my post taken out of CONTEXT.
You don't need to explain to me your reasoning behind your thinking when in my previous post I had already guessed it correctly and GAVE YOU CREDIT for it *sigh*
I realize you are a young man but you need to dial it back a notch. You are getting upset at nothing. I don't have to agree with your method in endorsing mods and I don't. It doesn't matter if you write an entire in depth psychological thesis into the pros and cons of it.
And for the record, calling out LegoManIAm's mods was just unnecessary and rude. He has nothing to do with this conversation and you could have made your point without insulting him and his mods.
You have over personalized my critique of your rating method and have allowed your emotions to get the better of you. You have insulted other members and have only succeeded in damaging your own reputation. I realize that 25 year old boys have all that testosterone boiling but you need to take a breath and chill out a little bit.
