Okay, for anyone else still struggling a decade later: that sack is not just hidden, it's literally buried with only a small, very nearly ground-colored bit of it sticking very slightly out of the ground. By the rocks out front, right down by the water. If I wasn't explicitly told to look for it in that general area, I would never have found it.

Is that believable world building or just frustrating game design? Yes!

But that aside, yeah, a lovely little house with big lovely scenery and a lovely little backstory. Still haven't decided whether to keep that skull up there or bury it in the sack...

Okay, this is weird... I started a new game, and this time the sack was in plain sight among the rocks. I didn't change my mod loadout - though I have since - and haven't used any other mods that should change the terrain around there, anyway. I went on to start a handful of new games with different mod setups, including nothing but this, but can't replicate the sack being 90% buried anymore. Which is strange, but seems to indicate that even this minor issue was probably something on my end.

Does anyone else get attacked everytime they leave this house? Using OpenMW 0.47 and Tamriel Rebuilt. Is this intended or am I missing something? I think I heard something about a quest for this house but not sure. I have found the note on the stairway and the bedroom. Any clarification would be great.

Hi! I'm sorry but I've been searching forever after that sack with the key. Where is it?! D:

      Sorry for the late reply!

The sack can be found in amongst the rocks in front of the house.

Or maybe you forgot to add it in, there's NOTHING there. Thank goodness that I've already had Open 100 pts spell when stared your mod, otherwise there would be no way for me to even enter

I noticed a very large gap between ground that the house sits on and the land surrounding it. It's like a floating land plate that isn't aligned. I'm using MGE XE and Morrowind Rebirth so it might be a compatibility issue with one of those. Also I can't find the key anywhere, and I looked really hard for it.

Update: It seems Morrowind Rebirth was the culprit here. I just loaded this mod before MR and it took care of the floating land problem. However that key... still can't find it...

Nice work here, is this your first mod?

    Some feedback
    - I think you should add a few more vials on the limeware platter, it looks rather empty and a few more vials would be a nice touch.
    - Perhaps you could add a small trail to the house, connecting it to the nearby dirtroad?
    - You could add an overhang at the roof so that its protected from rain.
    - A small garden would be nice too.

I'm just throwing out ideas here, but I truly belive that it would make it even better

    Cheers

      Thanks for the feedback!

      - Yeah, it does look a bit... sorry for itself. Will fix this in the next version.
      - Didn't think of that, will be added to the next version.
      - I'm still not sure about the overhang. I do like it without it, but at the same time it makes much more sense... hmm... I'll need to test this out a bit.
      - Good idea! The front of the house does look a bit naked.

      Again, thanks for the feedback!

      Glad to help!

You could use this overhang for the roof: http://www.speedyshare.com/QBzbp/HoS-furn-overhang-01.nif , as it fits nicely with the overall layout. If you use it you should credit "Hand of Sotha".

      Cheers

This is a very lovely lakeside cottage, cozy with some simple decorations and furnishings that still allows some space for the player to customize. I especially liked the story included with the house, which adds an interesting element to an otherwise quaint house mod. As far as I could tell, there were no bugs in the file, and the only thing I noticed at all was a small typo in one of the notes ( "mabey" instead of "maybe" ), but that's a very minor detail. Overall, this is a very nice and atmospheric house mod, and certainly a great first Morrowind mod! I hope you continue making Morrowind mods, because we're always in need of more good Morrowind modders!

    Endorsed.

      Thank you very much!

I'm really happy that you like the house, and the spelling of maybe always seems to catch me out. I'll have version 1.1 up with that correction once there's other things to tweak.
