Would this work authentically with OpenMW?

Yes it should, because it's operating in an outside program outside of Morrowind, so it shouldn't have a problem with working with OpenMW.

I know this is a few years later, but OpenMW already has controller support for xbox 360 and xbox one controllers, no need to download this if using OpenMW.

Thanks for this. Now I can play Morrowind as it was always meant to be played; feet up,modded up, running on a laptop plugged into a tv.

    This works perfectly. Thanks.

The problem I have  when using a controller with Morrowind is that there is microstutter when turning around. Do anyone know how to get rid of this? It only happens when using the controller.

Solved it. I was using JoytoKey which normally works good but for some reason it caused this stutter. I bound the right stick in reWASD instead and now it is perfect butter smooth. Worth checking out if someone else have the same problem

Glad to hear that you figured it out! JoyToKey can sometimes be a pain to use and have some quirks/etc that sometimes causes issues to happen when playing with it, which is why I mainly use the Xpadder versions because I think that it's a better program that comes with much less issues than JoyToKey does.

Does this work in the same way as doing it thru steam"s controller input?

If you can copy what I did in JoyToKey/Xpadder to Steam's Controller Input, then probably yes.

You can just download JoyToKey, make your own folder for it, download the file that comes in my mod, set my mod file (.cfg file & Right Click) to open with JoyToKey, and once it opens JoyToKey, save it to your JoyToKey folder and you'll be good to go.

Sorry for the late response, was dealing with college for the past several months!

      Thank you so much! :)

I'm actually going to be updating my mods later on in the day, along with making an Xbox One version for them as well, since I finally have the time to work on my mods again!

I changed the morrowind.ini settings as the mod instructed. i am noticing however, that my right analog stick on the xbox 360 controller is constantly moving in whatever direction I move it, the only way for me to stop it is to manually hold analog stick still. Is this part of the way it works? Because Iv'e had similar experiences with this and other programs (MK2, xpadder) is there any way to fix this? PLEASE ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!

That issue sounds like something that I may have encountered before. When you say moving, do you mean like all over the place with no control & that it only stops when you manually hold it down?

The only way I know to do that is check the Microsoft store see if there are any left or maybe check your school for an older version of windows 7. The significant other bought one not too long ago from Microsoft store but there are not many windows 7 64 bit left.

Could this work with an Xbox One Controller?

I'm not sure as I don't own one, but if JoyToKey/Xpadder supports the Xbox One Controller, I don't see why it wouldn't as the controllers are basically the same thing with only minor differences. Try out my mod with it and let me know how it goes!

Sorry for the delayed response. I figured out the issue with only a few minute of effort and kinda forgot about it haha. But yes, that's what it appeared to be doing. In the options tab of JoyToKey i found i could just bump up the "Threshold for Input" to like 25 or whatever is comfortable and problem solved!

My first time with Morrowind was back on xbox when i was more of a console gamer so i really enjoy being able to play it again with a controller! I'm sure if someone hadn't put the effort to share this i wouldn't have bothered haha So i am very grateful!

Thank for your interest and I always like to say thanks to you and all those in the modding community who keep me coming back to my first love!

Hmmm. Very interesting. I'm actually going to be updating all of my mods later on in the day since I saw that Xpadder was updated a couple of days ago. So once I'm done with that, I'll try that suggestion of yours for the JoyToKey versions to see if that will fix that notorious moving camera issue! Anytime man! And thank you so much for your kind words! Hearing this is why I make these mods!
