I love this mod but sadly its not compatible with morrowind Rebirth anymore , it clips pretty heavily and is hard to access. it would be amazing if there was a version that fit.
Out of my hundreds of mods installed, this is one of my essentials. I literally can't play without this mod. It's lore-friendly, immersive, blends right into the rest of the game, isn't OP or intrusive. I LOVE IT. Thank you for making it!
This mod will lead to very strange results when mergend into merged_objects so beware. Also you donĀ“t rent it, you buy it for 150gold. After the 30 days are over it will switch to negative numbers and greet you with a nonsensical message like "you have an apt. rented in balmora for the next -9 days". There is no option to re-new payment it seems. The trap door to the roof is a one-way ticket, thre is a way up but then the roof has no door that leads back down.
I've been using your mod with pleasure throughout my game so far. A humble house for modest needs. There are a few things that might need some fixing though!
- After the rent period is over, the message saying 'You've rented an apartment for so many days' goes into the negative numbers. There should be a message like 'Your landlord (what's his name?) locked your apartment in Balmora. Pay your rent to get a new key.'
- I think the rat messages could use some randomisation, timing-wise. If you feed your pet and play with him at the same time, the 'reminders' will pop up at exactly the same time later, which looks a bit generic.
- All mod dialogue uses two spaces after a full stop. This style's actually only used in the MW books, not in-game. Small issue obviously.
Thank you very much for the mod! It's exactly what I've always wanted: a run down but still spacious home in the slums of Balmora, rentable (shouldn't be such a thing as a free home in Balmora) and doesn't have the texture issue that Grumpy's Apartment does. My characters are going to get a lot of use out of this.
Unfortunately, I'm getting some script errors on loading saves:
Script Pub_Balmora_South Line 5 function reference object "MorielBalmoraAptTrapDoor" not found. Unable to find referenced object "MorielBalmoraAptTrapDoor" in script MorielScBalmoraAptDoor.
The trap door is missing from the exterior roof as well.
I'm using the non-NOM version.
It doesn't stop me from playing, thankfully, as it just pops up when loading the save and doesn't cause a hard crash, but it would be great if you could fix it
Hi! I installed this mod using NMM and the apartment is there with the note but when I go talk to the NPC I am directed to in SouthWall Club, he has no options to rent the apartment. Any idea what the problem could be? I am running Graphics Overhaul 3.0.
I owe you an apology. When working on the new version I had changed the dialog topic for renting the apartment. But at the very last minute - *after* I'd done my testing - I decided to change it back to avoid problems with upgrading, but although I updated the dialog itself, I forgot to update the script on the note.
You update fixed it! Thanks mod looks great, just what I was looking for, a small, somewhat lore friendly mod that would allow me to store stuff and sleep in my own bed. Thanks!
There is a new version up. It adds a small feature to the apartment: rats! Yes, your apartment now comes with occasionally respawning vermin for you to take care of. But it's just a small rat - not one of the big cave rats - and if you would prefer not to kill it, then you might even get something beneficial out of it.
(Hint: have you ever seen a pet rat? They're really cute and charismatic.)

I would not recommend this mod, sorry.

- Maybe add a rat-less version?
Thanks again for your work, keep it up.

I've uploaded a new version that fixes the bug.
