Has anyone had any luck with the AC (bump and no bump) version meshes? I'm using Containers Animated 1.2 from the Nexus, but if I try to use the optional files from here I get the following errors on starting a new game:

NiAnimation Error: Object "Anim_Sack02" not found in NiAnimation.
NiAnimation Error: Object "Anim_Sack03" not found in NiAnimation.

From the file names, it looks like this should be a drop-in replacer for the meshes/animations included with MWCA (there's no readme so I'm guessing).

    Installation order:
    Morrowind
    Tribunal
    Bloodmoon
    Official Plugins
    MWCA
Apel's Various Things - Sacks (bump or no bump)
Animated Container download for appropriate version of sacks

The sacks animations work fine without this mod, but I really want these new meshes and textures.

I've opened the offending meshes in NifSkope, but to be honest I know almost nothing about editing meshes. Maybe it is time to learn.

Sorry if my terminology sucks. As I said, I know nothing about editing meshes. But I got up this morning and took another look and fixed it. Turned out to be simply that the shape node had a different name (ASack) than that contained in the animation file (Anim_Sack01, etc). Changing it in the mesh immediately fixed the problem. I'm kind of surprised nobody reported this before now, given they were uploaded over two years ago and downloaded hundreds of times.

      To fix this yourself:

      1) Open "xAnim_sack_01.nif" & "xAnim_sack_02.nif" & "xAnim_sack_03.nif" in NifSkope
      2) Expand nodes until you reach the "NiTriShape" node
      3) Change the name from "ASack" to "Anim_Sack01" (and 02 and 03 as appropriate)

Hopefully Apel reads this message and will either upload a fixed version or PM me and I can share the one I made for my own use. I will NOT be sharing my fixed version with anyone else per Apel's wishes in the readme, so either fix it yourself or wait for a fixed version to be uploaded here.

Update: it appears the other three NIFs need to be altered as well. Upon comparing them to the originals from MWCA, they should share the same shape node names and none of them are correct either. So do the same as above for them.

Update 2: I have now tested all 6 meshes in-game. Not only do I get no more errors, but I finally have animations working on all versions of sacks with Apel's textures! So I can definitely say I have fixed the problem.

This was a huge help, thank you. Never would have tried fiddling with Nifscope, considering it a tool for mod creators rather than plebs like me. I'm also pretty surprised this hasn't been more reported - 2019 here and this noob's rolling in off the pastebin and DassiD guides, both of which recommend the two mods. The error is the first thing you see when a save is loaded in a cell with one of these objects present (I even get a weird white-out effect and all my character menus open) ... So I guess everyone has "yes to all errors" ticked and just ignores them?

      Hello DeJuanNOnley

I know this is old but I could use a tip here.
I was reading over your instructions and I'm at step 3 where you say to rename the file "ASack" to "Anim_Sack01".  I'm looking at the "NiTriShape" node and "ASack" isn't what the layer is called, so I'm getting confused.
What I see are "Tri Tri Contain_Com_Sack_", Tri Tri Contain_Com_Sa.01" etc.  are you perhaps refering to a generic name of "Asack" for these items, or should I see that name specifically?

I looked at the non-animated ones and there are simply called "sack"  This is another possibility but surely this can't be the one, is it?

Maybe you could send the ones you edited, but I'm interested in doing this myself.  I just want to avoid any bugs and crashes tho :)
      Thanks in advance.

Edit:  I see where you tell me to rename them both so perhaps I figured it out.

Could someone send me the fixed anim sack file please. I am getting so many errors about it... Is there any way to fix it without nifscope?

Is there any chance you could use the rope mesh around the top of the sack from contain_com_sack_02.nif in Better Meshes, here: http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/38170 ?

Not only the rope mesh around the sack rope "contain_com_sack_02.nif" looks a lot better (that link of the mod), also the upper part (the tie) has less straight lones and looks more natural, not like this mod that has strong straight lines. :/

Nice replacer for the sacks, the only thing I'm wondering is for some reason the texture is darker on mine for some reason than they look in the pictures.

Which mod do you use to replace the crate texture as shown in the images?
