Question please. Which file is the one that turns all the map markers to solid squares? I love the mod, but I would like the original Morrowind map icons that are the square outlines instead of the filled squares.

    I found the file: door_icon.dds

After removing that, it changed the map icons back to the vanilla ones, so now this mod is basically perfect for me. :)

Can someone please tell me how to install this mod manually, step by step. I did exactly as it's written in the text document but it just doesn't work. I use openmw. I've been trying to make it work for past two hours, I even tried to follow instructions from other UI mods but 0 results... Thank you in advance

Depends on which version you're using for OpenMW. In older versions, you have to edit the openmw.cfg. Scroll down to the lines that say data=
and write the path to the mod, in quotes, as described here:

      https://openmw.readthedocs.io/en/stable/reference/modding/mod-install.html

If you are using the latest version of OpenMW, which is 0.48, you don't have to do the cfg edit, as you can directly edit those entries in the OpenMW launcher, as described in the "setting everything up" section: (scroll down a lot to find that)

My favourite UI mod out of all on the Nexus, keeps it true to the game but with small alterations that keep it fresh and consistent!

Note for OpenMW users: the "Smaller Crosshair" optional file is useless for OpenMW, because OpenMW can't use meshes in the MyGUI-based UI and thus simply uses target.dds as an overlay at 1:1 scale - independent from the crosshair mesh. This is also the reason why the crosshair looks noticeably bigger in OpenMW than in the original engine.

Okay... Maybe I'm a noob, but I need some help. I did the only step, I put the files inside the " Data" folder. I open the game but it does not work... I think, I don't know if I need to do something else or what, I mean, my game still having the original interface, nothing changed, this is not working for me. Does anybody can help me? (I've got the Steam GOTY Version) I was reading in other forum, they say I need to redate my BSa files or something, I'm downloading Morrowind Code Patch... I think this will fix my problem, right?

This looks really great, and I agree with others that it strikes that perfect chord between vanilla and a complete redux, but I just have one quick question: when I opened the mod's "Textures" folder, I noticed that it contained rather fewer files than I was expecting. Here's what I mean: I was expecting there to be the enhanced inventory icons that the second screenshot displays, but, judging from the included files, that does not appear to be the case, or am I mistaken? If this is the case, then what inventory icon replacer would you recommend? Thank you to the responders in advance!

I think those are vanilla icons.

You can disable or uninstall that mod so that you don't have that issue.

In the last few days I have completely reinstalled Morrowind (I wanted to properly ditch buggy and outdated MGSO, and regain complete control of my load order).. This meant I also had the chance to experiment with different UI overhauls... and I have to say, in my opinion, this is still the best. The others are excellent in their own right, but this has precisely the clean, functional, yet classic Morrowind feel that I want. So simple, and so perfect.

I'm using it with Concept Art Based Loading Screens and 2015 Main Menu Background Replacers, and it all looks amazing together.
