Thanks for the tip! I'm new to modding, and I'm willing to accept any advice on making my models better. The smooth button seems to attest to my inexperience though; for lack of a better word, it sort of... fragmented the blade, rather than smooth it.

Open the mesh in blender, select the entire model, and on the bottom bar there is a button that says "smooth". It will instantly beautify your model.
