This expansion centers on the Hlaalu capital of Narsis, a nexus of immense wealth and cruel injustice. Surrounding the city is the vast and dangerous hinterland of Shipal-Shin, whereas a number of Hlaalu and Redoran towns dot the shores of the Thirr river in the Coronati Basin region downstream of Narsis.

The 5 Most Commonly Asked Questions about Tamriel Rebuilt.
Hello everyone. Here are answers for the most common concerns brought up on this page; for other questions, we highly suggest reading our FAQ or Readme.
When will it be finished? We're a volunteer project, and developers come and go. Thus it's impossible to project any sort of release dates, and whenever we used to, we'd always be wrong. If you want to monitor our exact progress, please visit our Discord. If you want it done faster, join us! We're always looking for new devs. Even if you don't know a thing about the CS. We'll help you get started.
I get lots of missing meshes/textures! You may not have (correctly) installed the latest version of Tamriel Data. Try (re)installing it; see the instructions here.
... "One or more plugins could not find the correct versions of the master files they depend on"! This warning is given if your version of Tamriel_Data was released later than the last version of TR you have downloaded. The warning can be avoided by updating TR files in Wrye Mash, and is otherwise harmless.
Will this work with graphical replacers? Yes, but our custom assets will not be affected. For users of texture upscales, many higher-resolution assets may be found in the HD version of Tamriel_Data, but some are not yet covered and will remain looking lower-resolution. There will be issues with mods that change the shape of vanilla assets, such as Taddeus' rock replacer (included in the MGSO compilation). Since the rock shapes are slightly altered, this may cause placement errors or blocked doors in our areas. There is currently no up-to-date patch for this rock replacer that will avoid issues in TR.
Will this be compatible with Mod X? Since TR does not currently alter vanilla Morrowind, our project should be compatible with most, if not all, mods that do not occupy the space we use. Please consult this WIP page for a list of landmasses that conflict with TR and need to be moved. Also note that vanilla compatibility may decrease with additional plugins, as we eventually make changes to the vanilla questlines to integrate our landmass with that of the original game. These will be carefully thought out, and we hope to address the inevitable conflicts with mod authors themselves.
Thanks again for the amazing mod. I have a small suggestion that hardly seems worth mentioning but I will.
Would it be possible to convert the smaller statics making up Ebon Tower into a single large static? The way the tower is composed now makes OpenMW's distant land at reasonable settings ignore smaller segments of the tower. Pieces right in the middle are see-through as they are which is sad for such a landmark.
Literally the most whiney comment, I know. Otherwise, thanks for another amazing release.
Since the update, the Margia Sycora Quest is broken; she does not give me the broomstick any longer. I do also not get any journal entries from her. Looked it up: The item does not exist any longer! Plus the issue with the Andothren cells: What happened? I have the feeling the game is broken now.
I am not sure what the rules are on advertising, so this comment may be deleted, which is fine. I am hosting TES 3 MP with Tamriel Rebuilt 25.05.03 on the Sentinel server (Canada-West), if anyone is interested in playing co-operative, there are several features which are in a bit more detail on our Discord which you can join with: Rre3a7Xbt3 There are many quest fixes for co-op along with a few QoL features on the server.
This is probably a stupid question, but I just installed this mod and made a new character, but my map doesn't show Narsis or really any of the newest expansion. Is there something that I did wrong?
I'm pretty new to morrowind modding, so I at first just used vortex, but reading the page I saw that I should install it by unpacking the zip into my data directory, but when I did that nothing really changed. I'm 100% certain it's my fault/on my end, I'm certain I'm not doing something right, I just don't know what that is.
Hey outlanders, I installed the the newest update of Tamriel rebuilt "Grasping fortune", and reinstalled the latest updated Tamriel_Data HD Textures. It does seem like there is one missing texture in particular, as some ground and most of the road near the "Oran Plantation" is missing entirely, its purple which I know often indicates a missing mesh. Do I have to re-register the BSA's? I require guidance from the lords of Nexus, as I am in grave peril of my own OCD.
first quest in almas thirr for thieves guild is completely broken ive collected almost 100 gold every time i return i get a random amount that isnt even an intervals of ten ive gotten 32 and 46 somehow despite only getting 10 gold each time
Didn't make it to Narsis yet because I started fresh and did not want to break immersion by pushing things, but one thing which I do not approve of is the renaming of Andothren to Bal Foyen. Might be more lore-friendly but damn, Andothren was such a nice name! Sorry guys if you hear something like this a hundred times.
Not to mention that it causes incompatibilities with TR-dependent mods using the former name, which means they now all require updates. This is a large part of why I'm still on the previous version of TR.
Maybe they are, I don't think changing a major city's name in the middle of a project is a good thing. I'm sure the devs discussed this through and through but Bal Foyen just doesn't sound good. Andothren has a nice ring to it, it sounds like a major Hlaalu hub. Bal Foyen sounds more like some Daedric ruins to my ears. There sure will be mods renaming that, but the conflicts due to cell renaming sends shivers down my spine already...
The point of TR is to be as canonically correct as possible. And they've stated the reasons as to why they renamed it. Bal Foyen is the official canon name, so it fits the TR project.
I guess this open for debate as I reckon there would be lots of implementations in TR which some people would not consider canon or lore-friendly. But I'm not THAT much into the lore; I wouldn't complain about it, it's just that I loved the name Andothren.

In my current setup, Bal Foyen is still "Andothren" on the map. Locally it's all Bal Foyen though.
