Hello everyone! Tamriel Rebuilt is pleased to announce the release of build 19.12 "Aanthirin".

In the last Old Ebonheart release, we showed you a glimpse of the lands that once Prophet Veloth himself has passed, who tamed its tumbling waters during his great exodus to the Sacred East; and now, we are presenting you the whole region. Venture through the rich soils and gently flowing waters of Aanthirin, the crossroads of Morrowind.

Please check our website for a proper release announcement and changelogs. If you want to play this new release using an old save, make sure to update your save file with Wrye Mash.

Also, make sure that you have updated Tamriel_Data to v7.

The 5 Most Commonly Asked Questions about Tamriel Rebuilt.

Hello everyone. Here are answers for the most common concerns brought up on this page; for other questions, we highly suggest reading our FAQ, Readme, or Handbook.

    When will it be finished?
We're a volunteer project, and developers come and go. Thus it's impossible to project any sort of release dates, and whenever we used to, we'd always be wrong. If you want to monitor our exact progress, please visit our forums. If you want it done faster, join us! We're always looking for new devs. Even if you don't know a thing about the CS. We'll help you get started.

I get lots of missing meshes/textures!
Please register both of your BSA files in your Morrowind.ini. You can find more instructions in our installation guide.

I'm getting errors regarding... missing Map1.esm/Map2.esm, TR_Data.esm, etc!
TR stopped releasing individual map files called "Map1" or "Map2" since 2012. The issue here is that old mods based on TR still have a dependency on those old files. TR also no longer uses "TR_Data.esm" since version 1609 (September 2016 release), and intead now uses Tamriel_Data. You can look for up-to-date versions of those mods, or try using the patcher found in Tamriel_Data to update them yourself (TR_FilePatcher.jar), or use Wyre Mash to clean the dependencies, or send a message to the mod author (if they're still active) to update their plugins.
... "One or more plugins could not find the correct versions of the master files they depend on"!
This warning is given if your version of Tamriel_Data was released later than the last version of TR you have downloaded. The warning can be avoided by updating TR files in Wrye Mash, and is otherwise harmless.

Will this work with MGSO/graphical replacers?
Yes, but our custom assets will not be affected. In the future higher-resolution assets may be found in the HD version of Tamriel_Data.
There will be issues with mods that change the shape of vanilla assets, such as Taddeus' rock replacer (included in the MGSO compilation). Since the rock shapes are slightly altered, this may cause placement errors or blocked doors in our areas. There is currently no up-to-date patch for this rock replacer that will avoid issues in TR.

Will this be compatible with Mod X?
Since TR does not currently alter vanilla Morrowind, our project should be compatible with most, if not all, mods that do not occupy the space we use. Please consult our Readme file for a list of landmasses that conflict with TR and need to be moved. Also note that vanilla compatibility may decrease with additional plugins, as we eventually make changes to the vanilla questlines to integrate our landmass with that of the original game. These will be carefully thought out, and we hope to address the inevitable conflicts with mod authors themselves.

I haven't seen it posted but I downloaded and installed this and when I go to run the game it says it is missing TR_Mainland.esm and nothing online tells me how to fix this. I see in the contents for the mod it is listed but for whatever reason, it isn't showing for my game. Does anyone have a fix pls?

ETA: looking through my data files for Morrowind the file is there but it won't register. could it be a conflict with a mod?

Not sure if these comments need to be pre-approved. In case I sent this twice; i'll TL;DR this. I have followed the guide and video to 100% correctly install TR and TD. Everything works 100% fine, EXCEPT I cannot get the existing plugins to register FACTIONS/PREVIEW/TRAVELS no matter what I do. Even if I brute force them out of the official Vortex NMM and manually put them in, they always say "warning main file cannot be etc etc etc"

I am positive I followed the written and video instructions *TO THE CROSSED Ts and DOTTED Is*; but they just won't "go". Any ideas?

    Hi guys,

Can anyone help me fixing this warnings? I'm using Mod Organizer 2
One of the files that "TR_OldTravels.esp" is dependent on has changed since the last save. This may result in errors. Saving again will clear this message
but not necessarily fix any errors.
One of the files that "TR_Preview.esp" is dependent on has changed since the last save.
This may result in errors. Saving again will clear this message
but not necessarily fix any errors.
One or more plugins could not find the correct versions of the master files they depend on. Errors may occur during load or game play. Check the "Warnings.txt" file for more information.

I red the sticky post, but can't figure it out how to do it in MO2.

    Cheers!

Honestly, Wrye Mash is better for such things, and it's a pretty essential tool anyway, MO2 or not. Try Wrye Mash - Polemos' Fork, then check out this guide and look at the sections "Adding/Removing Mods From a Save Game", "Using an Updated Version of a Mod", and "Master List Updating". It's not as daunting as it looks, and you'll never want to do without Mash once you've learned it, haha. Hope that helps!

The game apparently doesn't work with non-english versions of the game, you should put that in requirements.

Unfortunately I'm at the plugin limit, so I may have to make due without the newly released patch. I read the changelog, but just how essential is the hotfix?

EDIT: Found an MWSE mod that can replace one of my plugins, making room for the hotfix. Keep up the great work, TR Team!

(Here I am again with more problems) I tried follow the instructions to update my save to version 20.02, but I still got cloned NPCs everywhere. Then I went and tried updating all the master lists, but that seemed to reset a bunch of stuff, like Arelia Draconis is back in her house after I already did the fighters guild quest. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

HI , and TY very much for this incredible mod. I have a question first...

I modded my Oblivion and Skyrim a lot, but not too much to Morrowind. Fortunately, I have experience with Wrye Mash, so this is good.

So my question is, is this more like the "new lands" and "UL" from Oblivion Nexus ? I say so just in case is compatible with , for example, Morrowind Rebirth

    Ty very much !

Big exclamation point right at Santios Veros in Seyda Neen. Than I traveled with to mainland Morrowind, and the exclamations were all over the place. How do you fix this?

Sounds like you didn't register the archives correctly. Did you put "Archive 3=" etc in your morrowind.ini as stated in the description?

EDIT: Here are the details regarding bsa registration: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/44537/? Make sure you also downloaded those files!
