1.1 - Minor fix, Rinida's disposition will now change depending on the quest
ending and quest reputation has been added.
1.2 - Character name changes and some dialogue/scripting tweaks.
1.21 - Various tweaks and a journal entry fix.
1.22 - A few variable tweaks, one minor grammar fix, and one small change in a
dialogue result, which adds one new journal entry.
1.3 - Fixed a few typos and grammar errors, and added two new sub-endings to the quest.
Now there's an additional 1700 words of journal entries and dialogue after you complete
the main portion of the quest, assuming you obtained a particular quest ending.
1.31 - Replaced a few troublesome roots that were blocking access to some areas of the dungeon when used with common tree replacers.
In the small village of Dagon Fel there lives a woman by the name of Rinida Honwyer. She claims her poor, sweet innocent brother has been kidnapped by smugglers. This unfortunate outcome is a result of an unlikely series of events and her poor brother's own naivety. Now Rinida fears for her brother's life, sure that these smugglers mean nothing but harm towards him. But who here is the real victim? Is there indeed an innocent at all in this seemingly typical story of right and wrong? Where is the fabled call for justice? And just what role does justice play here anyway? That is for you, the player, to decide and find out for yourself.
Of Justice and Innocence is, at heart, a fairly typical story-driven "save the villager" quest mod. Or so it may seem. What you find, what you perceive to be the right course of action, is entirely up to you and there are a variety of ways you can complete the quest, each of which may or may not have consequences. In addition, Of Justice and Innocence includes (as part of the quest) a medium-sized dungeon for the player to explore and eventually rescue (or not) the poor brother of Rinida Honwyer. Recommended for levels 14 and over. Hope you all enjoy this little adventure, and be sure to leave feedback (especially if you find a bug)!
Each download includes two mod versions ("Of Justice and Innocence" and "OJAI - Framerate Version"), the latter is designed to provide optional frame rate for lower and middle end computers. Please see the ReadMe for specifics on which version you should use.
*Cleaned with Morrowind Enchanted Editor*
Version 1.2 - This update changes the name of a few variables that could have potentially caused a conflict (thanks to bhl for pointing this out). In addition, this update makes one minor grammar fix and alters the outcome of one of the dialogue results, adding in one additional journal entry to cover for it.
Version 1.3 - This update fixes a few typos and grammar mistakes, and also adds two new sub-endings with a total of 1700 words of new dialogue and journal entries. These sub-endings only occur for one of the quest endings, and were the suggestion of BluePheonix over on PES. Credit goes to him for the idea.
Version 1.31 - Replaces some troublesome roots that could block access to certain parts of the dungeon when used with MGSO 3.0 or Vurt's tree replacers. Also adds a Morrowind Rebirth compatibility version for those seeking to play this with Morrowind Rebirth - this simply fixes a few floaters and a terrain rock that was blocking the entrance to the dungeon caused by Morrowind Rebirth.
