At this point it's decent enough for me to use it as a replacer, even if just for testing purposes.

Still needs color/brightness adjustments and other edits, but looks so much better now. It will probably end up being slightly darker than it is now, for better contrast with menu buttons (as I'm most likely not going to edit all of them yet again, unless I absolutely have to).
