What textures does MET cover?

Every texture used by TES III Morrowind and its expansions. Although a few textures might be omitted as upscaling them would be meaningless or would cause bugs if they are larger than the original size.

How do I install this?

Like any other texture mod. If you're using OpenMW, you can follow this guide.

Why does MET have some larger textures than other upscaling mods?

Bethesda were restricted by hardware to capping the resolution of their textures at 512x512, usually lower than that and a few exceptions above.
Computers are much more capable now, and that makes it possible to size the textures properly by adjusting to how much surface space they occupy in the game. For example, an apple will look good with a 512x512 texture, but if you use the same dimensions on a large rock, it'll probably be very blurry. Sizes beyond 1024x1024 also handles texture compression much better.

Won't larger textures than (insert arbitrary number here) kill my performance?

Texture size doesn't affect performance in a meaningful way, unless you're running out of video memory (VRAM).

How much VRAM do I need to use MET?

2GB and upwards. According to Steam Hardware Survey, under 5% of GPUs used for gaming has less than 2GB VRAM.
If you experience issues because of VRAM, I suggest you use Project Atlas. In addition to reducing draw calls, which is the biggest bottleneck in Morrowind, it also shrinks down large textures before merging them into an atlas.

MET is made by running all the textures with a single application/model, right?

No. When AI-driven upscalers became available, most of them only had a few settings and usually offered 2x or 4x upscaling. At that time it made sense to just run all the textures through it and call it a day. For MET this hasn't been the case since version 2.0, as there weren't many options back in 2018. Since then every texture gets tested with various upscaling methods before picking the best result to use.

Will you do Oblivion and Skyrim?

Upscaling Oblivion and Skyrim the same way would have very steep hardware requirements for processing, I don't have that kind of equipment available. There is however, a lot of good upscaling mods for those games, for example OUT by Kartoffels and Project Clarity by Iconic.
