   is there any way to just delete it? even with this mod, the weapon is still too strong among others in low/high rank, and the armor gives too much reliable skills
   
   defender gear on this game just feels wrong, like even if you arent using it, it feels that you could be stronger but in a unfair way

      I think there might be, but it can cause issues with multiplayer, causing crashes to those who have the armor when playing with a host with a deleted armor/weapon set, I believe.  No idea about vice versa. 
      
      Should be a simple process, I can look into it this weekend

      maybe removing the armor in inventory and being able to hide the weapon on crafting tab, if thats not possible you could maybe could use the other starting armors stats and skills on the defender amor and lowering the weapon to 1 or making the cost unaffordable

      Minor update: Just deleting them causes the game to crash. Might look into if there's a disable flag or making it unlock with an unused item or very late game item to "remove" them from the game. 
      
      Don't know how I'd want to change the stats and skills for the armor or weapon to make them more on par with the others, as I haven't played world and low/high rank in a long time.

      i dont think there is a way to balance it, you could use as a Affinity plus explosion weapon, but some trees already has it, for me even nerfing it will be extremely difficult to properly balance with LR/HR progression, an easier way should be to remove the skills and import the leather armor stats into the defender armor and the ore tree stats minus the element into the defender weapons

   This is what these sets should have been from Day 1. Allowing people to skip two thirds of the game does the players a great disgrace.

   Now this is what Capcom should be doing instead, like old school MH with DLC weapon and armor through quest and stuff. Not giving s#*! for free!!
