Hello, I really like your Resade Preset and have been using it well for a long time. But there's a problem with that this time. I was going to play the game today, but after the Intro logo passed, it was not possible to play the game because it was no longer available on the black screen. It was a problem in Special-K mod. I really like your reshade. I mean, I'd like to ask you to create a reshade that doesn't require Special-K mode. Or, if possible, I'd like to know how to use it without Special-K kindness regard.
You could probably make it more clear which Special K version you are ment to download. Im still confused how to install this even after reading through the comments.
Can't get this to work at all. I install special K and then this but then when I open up the game it looks exactly the same as it did before installing. I'm still able to bring up the menus for both reshade and special K while in game but the visuals don't change even when I change the settings in the reshade menu. On top of this, the game no longer closes properly when quitting game. The music continues to play requiring me to close the program from task manager. Any help would be appreciated.
This is by far the best reshade I've had, and I've tried all the ones on nexus. Thanks! But I guess I have a few problems... mainly heavy fps drops. I've downloaded mods to help fix the Teostra fps dips, and they've worked. I don't get any FPS dips anywhere anymore unless I have this Reshade installed. I go from a constant 60 fps to be a fluctuating 20 - 50 fps. Are there certain tweaks for me to get as much FPS back as possible?
Also, my game never fully closes. The process is still running in the background unless I force the close. But this is just a minor issue for me.
Hey dude, the game immediately crashes when I launch it. I don't have any third party software active I think. Would Win Defender count as well? The system itself runs on Win 10.
I did, I think so. I followed the steps you posted on steam below the download and install section. Afterwards I extracted the files for the mod into the games directory.
Hi, i got the same issue ; the game won't launch after installing special k and your preset. Infact as soon as you put Special k in the game folder, the game won't launch at all, i don't know why ! It disapoints me because your preset looks beautiful ! Help us !
I already had it installed, but I did it again anyways and it still crashes almost instantly. I don't know if this helps, but everytime the game pops up it says Monster Hunter World(151910) <--- do these numbers mean anything?
I'll repair the game via steam and try it again. K-Special goes into the directory first and then the reshade, right?
Yes, first you install K-Special and after my Preset. That Number means you game version, is nothing of special, is possible the problem being some dependencies (from Framework and DirectX) that is causing the crash.
From what I have found so far, it seems to be an issue with something in the files of this mod. I removed every component, then reinstalled k-special. Then I added in the files from the mod, skipped over anything that would ask to be rewritten the second time around, and I don't crash immediately. Rather I get the exclamation sound that you would hear in a metal gear solid game, soon followed by a crash.
So then I removed everything and found out I had to reinstall k-special again, due to a lingering crash of some kind. Though after I did reinstall k-special, the game booted flawlessly. I decided to just put the reshade folder inside of the game directory, can't really tell if it changed anything. But the game works again. And yes, as the other two did, I even repaired that VC redistro. I know f*#@ all on how to make a mod, I also know even less of the code that goes into making a mod. But what I do know is that I only found an issue with booting this game when I installed this mod the way your instructions said to do it.
Hmm drivers could be a potential issue. But I do not know what you mean by performance. My computer is rather beastly, so if you mean pc specs, then I doubt that is the issue. Especially seeing as low specs wouldn't disallow the game from even booting in some cases, with or without the mod.
Ok, so I updated the graphics drivers and I have everything that needs to be installed. I even tried some compatibility modes, this still isn't working. So I removed everything that I would have to drop in for the mod, reinstalled k-special and boom, it loaded perfectly again.
Yeah I am at a loss, no idea at all. I am sure there is a relatively simple reason or some kind of hiccup. It could even be a conflict with other mods. But I will just deal with it. It is a shame though, the mod looks rather nice. But I suppose I can wait for more intense tools to be available at a later time to allow for easier visual overhauls.
So i downloaded reshade separate from specialk (My path is so long that i can't tell the presets apart in specialk's version). I can't get this mod to work this way though. can you release a regular reshade version?
edit: i do have specialk. I have the separate version of reshade installed alongside specialK (at the path that SpecialK recommends)
